An absolutely stunning recreation of a pretty terrible design. All these images look like movie stills, dang.

Love the concept art head sculpt! As unlikely as it is I always wanted Hasbro to put that out somehow, I know they sculpted that head for the Voyager/Leader 2007 Megatrons.

Looks beautiful! 2007 Megatron has an awesome design and it looks to be recreated almost perfectly here, although something about the head/face looks a bit off.

Do I need to buy the special edition to get Jazz's other half? xD

Seriously though, this looks awesome! These statues always look incredible (and make for great reference for painting!)

The concept head is interesting, but I much prefer the final one we got, that design is SO good.

    Nice statue, awful design.

Even in 2022 it's still easily one of Megatron's 'absolute worst renditions, although Bay Megatron was pretty terrible overall. I'm kinda surprised Hugo Weaving stuck around for three films given how much he hated it, but I guess if you throw enough money at someone anything is possible.

I still like this design. <_<

Maybe it’s just because this was the only time Bayformer Megs was actually cool and a threat, but I have a lot of nostalgia for this design and with it being the least bulky and most upright posture I actually feel it better evokes the character of a traditional Megatron than his burlier and brutish ROTF and DOTM designs. It feels kinda regal and distinguished in a jagged skeletal nightmare monster kind of way. Most Decepticons have that slightly hunched, stocky stance and build whereas this Megs stands straight and tall like the man in charge ought to… even if he didn’t really act all that sophisticated.

And hey, a corpse base that actually makes sense!

AYY 2007 MEGATRON! Legit my 2nd favorite TF design of all time. Absolutely loved his monstrous and powerful presence in the film, and the 07 Leader was one of my first TF toys.

That being said, I think his head crest is tilted too far forward here; it should be more swept back. They look almost vertical from what I'm seeing.

When I read that he had a concept head, honestly I was expecting the original cancelled head. This monstrosity :p :

The final one is far superior, but it would've been cool to see this version get a nod.

Why do you go into every thread just to whine about the Bayverse movies :lol

Everyone gets it, you don't like them and have bad takes about them.

You raise a good point regarding his posture alongside him actually being a threat in that movie and honestly taken on its own how he's depicted in the 2007 movie isn't great (it's about on the level of the goofy villain from the Sunbow cartoon) but it does it's job... enough, I guess.

It's quite the struggle to compliment these movies for things other than the surface level stuff. :lol  For what it's worth his final head design is definitely better than the original that was on his CG model, but it could still serve to be more refined and less... animalistic.

TBF at least the surface level stuff is cool. I’ve seen radical fan art of 07 Megs on a throne and looking all composed villain-like and it honestly plays well with this version’s more humanoid posture. If he actually had some kind of personality or sophistication and wasn’t just constantly growling I think the initial design would’ve won more people over.

I still think his face is almost kind of haunting. Combined with the upright pose of this statue it actually makes him look scary rather than just intimidating.

As with all the Prime 1 statues this looks fan freaking-tastic.
Agreed and also I'd really hope ThreeZero does Ironhide after there recent lineup.
Was it from the 07 Decepticon ending?

Close to that but it was a Cybertronian throne.

But yeah even that brief scene shows how badass the Decepticons could be. It's a real shame as the movies went on they became more and more animalistic in not just looks but behaviour. Brawl and Starscream on either Side of Megs is so damn cool.
