    this looks really good, but I have to ask why they gave him the Bayformer beady eyes, when the film version had the nice diamond eyes from G1

    It would be very hard to replicate. In the movie, he does have a single circler light source like in this statue, however, the light source in his eye fills up his entire diamond eye socket. They would have to incorporate multiple light sources to give it the same effect. Though, they may have been able to defuse the light with some kind of translucent film.

    Honestly, this is my favorite iteration / design of Optimus Prime ever. He's my favorite bot and it's taken this long to find something that I could call near perfect. I really do want this statue but I'm 100% sure I can't afford it... ah well :(

    Well you could always save up. This will be cheaper than the non DLX version.
