Is there a reason the the MP styled Huff is so expensive? Is it not on a production run anymore? I know I missed the release just don't know if it is really worth close to $200.

Huff was released a few years ago! Off course he is no longer produced. Even Hasbro or Takara are not producing their MP figures for years. Despite that, Cubex - the company that made Huff is no longer existant. They are now Badcube, if you don't know. Prices are always popping up high if a rare figure sells out in the market without a chance of beeing reproduced. Besides that, there was never competition from another company, because they were the only ones who made such a figure.
Is it worth $200? That's a decission everyone has to make for himself. I love my Huff, and QC is really good on my copy, but I would never pay 200 bucks for it!
If you want one - wait! Badcube said they will make a new one in the near future.

I'm guessing you've seen one up for sale on Ebay?

Don't bother... they're re-issuing it soon, (hopefully) without all the original QC issues, so you should be able to pick up a brand new one for $70-$80.

Badcube said they will revisit it, wait for the new version and expect much high quality than the first version.

Good to know. I got an used 1 about a year ago or so... & was thinking of getting a 2nd. I just hope that they do a Pipes as well if they do a reissue of Huff.

Yes just wait. Word on the street is Badcube (formerly Cubex) is remaking and releasing him again. The 1st version (I have one) is well know for many QC issues and paint problems.

If you don't have one yet, just wait for the new one. You'll be a lot happier.

I'd do it and wait for the re-release of whatever it turns out to be.

Once there was fairly concrete word he was being redone/reissued mine went off to sale and ended up getting 3X his cost. It's crazy. Between that and the insane Quakewave price pre-reissue, I have made a rule that once the secondary market prices hit like 2.5X the original cost it's getting sold unless I really love it. The demand that creates those prices never goes unnoticed for too long.

Not worth anything close to that, even if a new one wasn't coming.

When there was a time maybe at most two 3rd parties would release a figure/character like Huff and in short supply, they always seemed to increase in value later. Hence the prices you see on Huff. XTB's Ollie is another one. Now, with more than 3 or 6 companies doing characters now, including the official companies, those days of re-selling for profit are just about gone.

As others posted, if you got one, I would sell it now and don't follow the Ollie Gate I want 50% off the next one. If you DON"T have one, wait it out. Even if they don't make one, the previous had paint chipping issues (none exist that don't have it unless it was never opened and will upon opening it so don't believe what anyone tells you). Somebody at some point will make a new huff, hopefully more in line with the cartoon look that MP has been taking.

XTB Stax makes a very nice looking Pipes, and he shouldn't be too pricey. I've been waiting for this Huff 2.0 forever, but I'll keep on waiting because the xtb Huff just doesn't cut it.

Just took my Huff down from my display and noticed that his paint started to flake off. Well, shit.
