Well guys i need your help getting a price on my 99.9% complete G1 Monstructor. He is alsmot complete minus one combined robot mode fist, and as far as i can tell there aren't noticable cracks or breaks from GPS. the labels are a little peely though.

i mainly jsut want to know what you guys think hes worth and what hes really going for as im planning on selling him soon and need a good price to start at.

Well, a complete one with no gps is going for 300-350 dollars now in these days. Which is sick I remember buying him for $60 back in 2001

well he literally has like no cracks or gps problems at all, ive just given him a good inspection on the 2 figures that are actually made from the gold plastic and they definitely look pristine, so you think missing that one fist is going to drop the price of what i cans sell him for significantly?

Without the fist he's worth about $10. I'll help you out and give you $20. :D

Seriously, get the fist and sell him before he crumbles...

I'll say between USD $300 upwards but you could get more if you've gotten that fist. :p

I think many Collectors place great emphasis on how complete a character is. (Especially for gestalt pieces that could prove rare & difficult to find)

It really is crazy how much certain figures have skyrocketed in price, and sometimes which figures those are. Monstructor is a weird case though. Sometimes I think its so expensive because of all the guns and kibble. I see the individual figures (including Slog) and shells in good condition sell for 10 bucks a piece all the time, so I think to get even close to that asking price, its all about the weapons.

I remember getting lucky about two years ago. I was at a flea market, and one dealer had a box of nothing but Zoids and micro machines and bunch of parts. Well, I saw the sound pack for G2 Optimus, and spent about a half hour digging. Ended up finding both fists for monstructor and I think ended up paying a quarter for the pair, and then another couple bucks for a bunch of other parts. It was a nice find.

Getting back to my original statement though, I am surprised by certain figures really going up in price. All of the Mega-Pretenders come to mind. I can understand Thunderwing being high because he's a popular character, but the rest of them are equally as pricey. Also, I know TM Scourge was shortpacked, but his price I think has really gotten bad lately. Action Master Prime and Megatron also surprise me. Oh, and the ones that REALLY surprise me are the darn transports in the micromaster line, like the missile transport. I saw one of them go for 120 bucks a while back. any idea why on those?

I wish someone would reissue or KO Monstructor AND Dinoking. I'd love to own them both, no matter how awful the figures are compared to today's standards.

Its the gold plastic(to actually get some of these guys without being broken) that makes some of these guys expensive. Look at the prices for Roadblock, Skyhammer and Monstructor. These guys were also during the waning days of Transformers in the US. Try to find a complete Vroom on ebay its been months!!!

True I suppose. Luckily, I have most of my Vroom from when I was a kid. I just need the darn wheel for the sidecar...

I think I paid about £80 for my set back in 2003, seemed like a lot at the time but given the costs now, it's worth it.

Seconded on Mega Pretenders, the parts for those guys are so hard to find. I've been looking for rotors for Crossblades for years now, never found a set. I'll take repros even, if it saves me having to buy a new complete one for the sake of those two pieces.

I would honestly wait till his fist becomes availble on ebay, its not a rare piece to come by, then you can complete your Monstructor and not have to get an offer like that from BBTS who would sell that guy for 350$ or parcel the individual robots for 50$ each.
