I'm kicking around the idea of picking up the Metals version of the T-Rex Megatron but have absolutely no clue what a fair price for him would be. Anyone here have an idea so I can figure out whether I could afford one or not?

 

I think I paid $30 for mine from some store iiinnn Hawaii called.. toys n joys.. I think.. but that was a few years back already. Idk what it's going for now..

 

Check in the Beast Wars Appreciation thread here...I bought him last summer and paid over $100 for a sealed one. I think they've been getting harder to come by lately, so loose or sealed it may not be cheap.

 

I sold mine a couple months ago loose and complete for like $60 or $70.

Yeah, he is pretty pricey nowadays.... I had 2 and sold one for 75 or so? It's an awesome figure, too bad his price will scare people away from him.

You should consider looking into the TM-SP DX Version. That figure goes for around 50 or so and that Megatron is seriously badass!

 

check on ebay for the VS pack of megatron and Primal

you can always turn around and flip primal on ebay and make some $$$ back...that is what i ended up doing since the VS pack and single pack were almost the same price a few years ago....

 

I bought one sealed at a comic store about 3 months ago for $50, that was too good to pass up.

 

Also since I'm here, is this the only one that's got the proper purple colour instead of being blue or pink?

 

The metals was blue I think, with black instead of brown, I have a blue and purple for the hasbro release. I think the pink one is the rarest.

 

I've had two hasbro versions fall apart on me, literally. Picked up the metals version some time last year for about 30-40.

I remember looking for a purple one a while back (like the show), but kept wtfing because I couldn't tell if the colour was right online or if there were actually different variants.

 

That's true, it used to be really cheap too! I remember getting the set MISB for something like $40 in Hong Kong a few years ago

cinder, dont ever tform it. i just carefully tried with my pink one and it broken into 8 pieces, i dropped a piece that broken and broke again hit the floor.

the hasbro plastic just gets so shitty over time. i wasnt that pissed about it but still sucks.

I gently lifted the VTOL cover flaps up and you can see the joints grinded a little just from that...
