    BOOKS OF DOOM 1

    WRITTEN BY: ED BRUBAKER
    PENCIL BY: PABLO RAIMONDI
    COVER BY: PAOLO RIVERA

Five-time Eisner-Nominated Best Writer Ed Brubaker turns his shadowy vision to Marvel’s greatest villain, Victor Von Doom. With the phenomenal art team of Pablo Raimondi and Mark Farmer, you will witness Doom’s life from his earliest moments to the day he took the throne of Latveria. A dark and revealing examination of how an innocent boy grows up to be a tyrant, a new twist on an old legend -- the Books of Doom is a sweeping epic of tragedy, madness, and destiny, and unlike any other Marvel Comic you will buy this year!

In this debut issue, turning his back on childhood love, young Victor develops an obsession with the dark arts that stole his beautiful mother from him. But it’s his experiments with science that attract the interest of global powers and bring his Gypsy tribe into direct conflict with the despotic rulers of Latveria.

Soooo... Ultimate Omega Red is Baraka with whips instead of knives and a pony-tail?

I almost forgot that Omega Red was going to be in the Silver Sable arc.

It's officially. The Ultimate Universe revolves around Spider-Man. Peter Parker is clearly the center of everything when a villain with ties to Wolverine is introduced in his book.

Omega red was awesome in Jim Lee's introductory Xmen arc. He didnt really do much after that though. Another case of marvel building up then ruining the credibility of its villians.

When House of M Ends, the X-Men Face a Deadly Genesis

Professor X’s darkest secret comes back to haunt the X-Men in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1. A blend of horror and super-heroics, X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1 is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first appearance of the all-new, all-different X-Men from Giant Size X-Men #1.

The X-Men are at one of the lowest points in their history following the scarring events of House of M and now a new enemy has awakened; a new enemy with a shared history with the X-Men now looking for vengeance against Xavier’s followers.

By Wizard Top Ten Creators Ed Brubaker and Trevor Hairsine, X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1 also features an 8 page back-up story by Brubaker and artist Pete Woods. Weighing in at a whopping 36 pages of story, this first issue promises to set in motion one of the greatest X-Men mysteries ever!

Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada is already heralding the series as an “instant classic” and it is sure to be mentioned in the same breath as the plethora of classic X-Men tales. X-Men: Deadly Genesis is going to rock the foundation of the X-Men Universe for years to come so don’t be the only one of your friends to miss out.
