    Publisher:
    Dark Horse Comics
    By: Matt Wagner

    Part 4 of 8
The Korean mob move against Grendel's criminal empire in this explosive new chapter in the life of Hunter Rose.

A presence is haunting Hunter Rose-ubiquitous, ethereal, maddening. As Grendel becomes increasingly obsessed with his unseen pursuer, his grip on the New York underworld loosens. For the man who assassinates his victims with the same precision that he writes his bestselling novels, this ignorance and weakness is unacceptable. He will uncover what hunts him, and he will show his rivals that the city is his alone!

    * Matt Wagner writes and draws Grendel for the first time in twelve years!

"Wagner knows how to use comics' potential for epic storylines, and thought nothing of jumping thousands of years forward, creating religions and blowing the story out to colossal scale." -Decibel Magazine

PATH OF THE ASSASSIN VOLUME 9: BATTLE FOR POWER TP

    Publisher:
    Dark Horse Comics
    Writers: Kazuo Koike
    Pencils: Goseki Kojima
    Covers: Goseki Kojima

The world of samurai and ninja is not just killing, politics, intrigue, and actioin. It's also about family, spirit, love, and sex. If there were ever an issue of Path of the Assassin that could be entitled "the sex issue," this would probably be it. Not just the act of sex, but the feelings, doubts, methods, results, and politics of sex.

The results can mean a son or daughter fated to the politics of advantage and danger. The doubts can lead to an unfocused mind. The methods can be a result of doubt, but can be their own distraction as well. The feelings can be good, bad, and ugly. And all of these elements amount to the politics of sex. However, if you fear that all this talk of sex means this volume of Path of the Assassin lacks the the expected swordplay, gushing blood, and drama you've come to love, well please don't worry. Rather the sexplay only provides a framework for those standards, making for an oddly exciting volume of our samurai/ninja tale of conquest.

    * Each volume comes shrink-wrapped and carries an 18+ content advisory.

VICIOUS INTENT: THE ROCK 'N' ROLL ART AND EXPLOITATION OF STAINBOY REINEL HC

    Publisher:
    Dark Horse Comics
    By: Greg "Stainboy" Reinel

A hail of bullets. Dive-bombing lawnmowers. Muscle cars and femme fatales with more curves than a runaway bus! Throw in a side of cheesecake and welcome to the shadowy underworld of Greg "Stainboy" Reinel. Peeling out from the early punk rock scene (and once fronting his own turbocharged rock 'n' roll dragster, Nutrajet) Stainboy's Day-Glo color, powerhouse linework, and love of pop culture trash have made his eye-assaulting posters a perennial favorite among rock's cutting edge, including Motörhead, Buzzcocks, Sevendust, High on Fire, and Nashville Pussy. Dripping with violent wit and dark humor, Stainboy's posters demand immediate attention, armed with loaded guns, busty broads, gleaming street machines, and tributes to classic exploitation cinema. Stainboy's dossier has grown to include a diversity of work for clients such as the House of Blues, Fuse TV, Club International magazine, Signatures Network, and music venues around the world.

Greg "Stainboy" Reinel is one of the top names in the rock poster scene
