My Collection shrank a bit during the move and when I upgrade some existing figures (like I would get a Newer TF/ Marvel Legend/ DC which is better than an earlier version)

I can see you like to keep boxes like myself. What I did when I moved into my home was find the access to the attic area and wrapped up in my boxes in plastic amd just placed them in the attic area. The space was good for nothing else and I got to keep my boxes :D

Now you need to get a huge display case and put it in your bedroom to upset your significant other lol

I didn't even think about putting it in the attic! That's brilliant!

I will wait until I move into my new home to get access to the attic, and then toss it up there.

Only problem I see in those pics is the bowl of fake fruit.

    I mean, who does that?

I like to keep the boxes, in case I want to sell something, or for toy safety when I move. I try to compensate for keeping the boxes by having fewer figures overall at any one time.

What's a tote and where is it?

People who are selling their home and don't want to stink it up with moldy display fruit?

If your'e goona store something, keep out moisture, beware of mold, critters that chew things and I'd say just put evertthing inside something that is inside something else.

Eg plastic zip lock bags for figurres, inside like say gaint garbage bags, inside big storage tubs. You can do better, I'm just assuming you want to spend no money and not have to think about it.

Well, aside from the water canister riding its tricycle in the house, I don't see much of an issue. And even that's more a concern of it smashing into your pile of expensive toys.

    congrats on the new house.

i just moved into my new house about three weeks ago and had 95% of my belongings in storage. thankfully i have crawlspace attic on both sides of my man cave for boxes and stuff i am not worried about temperature changes, but i'm already planning garage storage too.

now that i am out of the military i am looking forward to not having to move every 2-3 years.

I live in Arizona, so moisture and heat shouldn't really be a problem.

The tote is that giant grey bin, filled to the brim with CHUG figures. I don't keep any CHUG boxes, only MP/3P

Ahh yes, the dreaded collection move. UGH. Honestly, after enduring this experience late last year when we sold and bought a new house, I'd say collectors usually only have a problem if they have a spouse/significant other that makes it one. My wife is EXTREMELY tolerant of my collection, and she was a champ about letting me do all the bitching and moaning of moving it around myself without adding her two cents into things. =) We lucked out and were able to upgrade from a small 2br/2ba home to a nice 5br/3ba fortress, so having the space now to keep my collection out of her way is a big key to happy cohabitation.
One crap thing though is that even after you get all the glass cases, shelves, customizing tools and the toys themselves set up into your new place, I've found out that it isn't necessarily over... we just signed up for a complete window upgrade throughout our whole house, and now I have to freaking TAKE EVERYTHING DOWN AGAIN to get it out of the way for the installation. Now, I'm not some whiny manchild who's unable to acknowledge that my little family is extremely fortunate and lucky to have all these things and the means to buy a new home and upgrade it, because I'm VERY grateful for all of it and we work hard =), but that doesn't mean I can't also acknowledge that sometimes it is a huge pain in the a*s (of my own design, of course) to deal with this crazy hobby/addiction when it collides with real life practicality. lol

I'm pretty sure everyone here has a similar problem...

    Here's mine:

Congrats on the new house. Hopefully you'll find some excellent display options there to enjoy your TF collection even more.

Don't worry, everyone on this board has the same problem. :)

All that from a year and a half of collecting!  Actually, I'm sure if I gathered everything up that I've bought in the last year and a half (TFs and otherwise), I'm sure the pile would be as large or larger.

Good luck in your new house, and have fun putting everything up on display again. That's most of the fun for me is just fiddling around with displays, putting every figure just so.

I wouldn't really call that a problem. More like a robust interest in one hobby ;)

If by problem you mean "not enough", then yes, you have a problem ;)
