So I went on my weekly TRU excursion yesterday and I saw price stickers for upcoming TR Deluxes to be 22.99. I guess TR will be bought online or at Target

Yeah, I don't really buy deluxes at TRU due to the prices. Voyagers are eh but that is way too much when Wal-Mart and Target sells them for $15. Amazon can be $18.99 for some CW ones, but considering I fill the cart up anyways I don't care.

Though if I was at TRU and actually saw a Hardhead, I might just cave in so I don't have to risk not finding him anywhere else in a store.

Yeah, target always puts these out at less than TRU prices, so its no biggie for me. However, when it comes to head masters, I'm just gonna wait for the MP scale versions like FT or MT or hopefully the eventual TT version.

TRU has been overpriced since I was a kid in the 80s. I clearly remember them asking 2-3 bucks more for any and every toy I ever collected. It's why I never shopped there and still rarely do.

Thank God here in my country we don't have any Toys R' Fucks... Bummer for you guys... And this is pretty bad because I've heard horror stories about the online shopping in Toys r' Us (Bad package condition when shipped to home)

Here in the UK we're getting £20 Deluxes (minus a penny). Right now that's approximately $26.38.

TRU does this every once in a while, it's never a national thing and it usually goes down back to $17 on average. Doesn't effect me, because my nearest TRU is in another city, and my Walmart is always well stocked.

I just got back from the local TRU, sadly the Deluxes were $22.99 there as well. Not that they had any Deluxes worth buying, mind, looks like they'll be stuck with CW Wave 6 forever now. No Voyagers at all (which are now only $4 more).

You do realize you can get them to price match right? They will price match Amazon as long as it is truly Amazon. They will price match Target and Walmart.

Also the CW deluxes have been $22.99 for a while. TR isn't there yet. Make sure you read the fine print. Perhaps they just put the TR on the same CW peg with the old $22.99 pricing. Always scan it to be sure.

Just bought some TR deluxes for $16.99 in Texas. I bet they are testing this in more vulnerable markets before going national.

Possible but most likely not the case. At least that is the case with Lego. TRU is notorious for being higher priced than Lego.com. For example the large UCS Slave 1 set is $199.99 at Lego. But TRU was $229.99. $30 more? Do I get upset? No I just buy them at Lego or I use coupons. 20% off and an additional 10% with TRU credit card on Thursdays make sit cheaper than anywhere else.

Shop smart and use TRU when you can and take advantage of sale and coupons. Like the 15% off online last week where I pre-ordered Fort Max.

Yeah, it looks like I won't be buying much of anything at TRU unless they will price match. Too bad.

Oops, I mean I found them for $16.99 at a TRU specifically. I know TRU does some regional variation on their prices, but i doubt the $16.99 will last much longer if we are seeing $22.99 at some TRUs.
