So I just spent hard-earned money I made with my band to find a damn Movie Ironhide and Movie Barricade, only to find out they're gonna be replaced with Premium versions of the same damn toy, and it's like, what the hell? I think Ironhide and Barricade are highly detailed as it is, what more can Hasbro do with them? Anyone know what's gonna be done to them? Will they pretty much be the same price?
Personally, I like the existing versions of most of the cast. A couple do look really nice in the Premium series, like Ice Megatron and Ratchet. But the majority look great as-is.

Personally, the only one I plan on picking up is Bumblebee because he's going to have the Stealth BB's remolded battle helmet (and I don't like the deco of the stealth version), but the others look pretty much the same to me. Of course, the leader Prime figure has a new head and his blade, but both look like crap IMPO so I'll be skipping him too... besides... picked up FS Movie Prime today and really really like him. Probably the only movie figure that I've liked in a 'G1' styled paint scheme.
Exactly how I feel, except I may get Premium Leader Megs, as well. Depends on how much money I have saved when I find him.
Hey, did anyone ever figure out if Premium Megs head was remolded? I remember reading that somewhere, but can't seem to find it now. And, to be honest, I can't tell looking at the pictures either... I mean, he's ugly no matter what so...
From all of the pictures that have been popping up lately, he does not appear to have a remolded head. He is the same toy with metallic paint, weathering and darker clear red parts. If he had a new head or no weathering, I would buy him. As it looks, I will keep the original and be very satisfied.
The first released of him made it look like his head was remolded, it wasn't but it was just very differently painted.
Ill pick up Premium Megatron and Battle masked Bumblebee, but Im pretty much finished with the movie line. Havent bought one since last year.
From what I remember seeing/reading, the head is not remolded on the premium version, but the little piece that covers the face in vehicle mode is remolded to actually cover the face.
A silverish Frenzy, blue back window and the decals and numbers that should have been there from the beginning but they left out so they could milk it some more.
I'm VERY tempted to pick up Megatron but thats a lot of money to drop on a repaint...though I did buy NW Prime...gah. I'm weak. I'll be getting Stealth BB so I'm looking forward to having the battle helemt head on it.
