I like Megatron delivering the final blow to The Fallen, unveiling his treachery and the sham that was his submissiveness. The movie plays Megs as a willing servant to his better, and he even cries out when the Fallen dies. NOT as interesting.
Isnt the comic based on a movie script? That means this must have been in the script originally too. WHY would they change it then??
To give the victory to Prime. Plus Megs killing The Fallen would truly imply that Megs was a "Prime" as well, which is something that he revoked aparently.
I was always confused as to why the Mighty Megatron would take orders from anybody, even a mightier being. I anticipatied his treachery, and it was not as what I hoped. I liked how the comic ended it (and moreover ended everything) because Megatron now asserts himself as the strongest. Which is in his character. And Megs didn't deliver the final blow to the Fallen. Prime speared him and killed him, Megs delivered a final mental blow though as he flat out abandoned his 'master'.
Wow, seriously? That sounds a lot more dramatic and cooler than the movie version of Megatron simply saying something like, "This isn't over." Wonder why they changed that--the comic version seems more complex and interesting.
but if megs was a prime then that would mean that only prime can kill prime and vice versa meaning they are destined to end each other.
Yeah the comic sounds better. If you play the PS3/360 game Megs basically does the same type of ending to the Fallen, spearing him in the final boss fight.
Megatron doesn't spear the Fallen in the comic... he just turns his back on him when he asks him for help (at that point in the comic he was still somewher functional, having only lost an arm... as opposed to half of his face)
I guess no one cares as long as it's accompanied with BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF EXPLOSIONS, BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
I'm going to have to read the comic I think and see if I like it better... all things told I've liked the IDW comics for the movie universe more than the other IDW comics..
