I’d be keen to see all those LG targetmasters come out from japan!
How about they try supporting the line?
Assuming whatever after WFC is earth based we might get triple changing
Earth mode, Cybertronian mode, robot mode
Half-assing may very!
I'd take a Cybertronian Triple-changer or two...
more combiners with new molds
I think the line will incorporate a little bit of the Prime Wars trilogy gimmicks in each wave(as in pull from a bit of each of the 3 series per wave....a figure that can combine as a limb, figure compatible with Titan and/or Prime Masters, figure that can turn into a base, weapon that turns into a vehicle or Pretender... et al). However I think the new gimmick will be Micromasters.
Micromasters pave the way for Hasbro to cut costs without most noticing. I think bases will take more emphasis with compatibility to Titans Returns leaders as well(as in connecting new Micromaster playsets/vehicles to TR vehicles ramps). Maybe see Micromasters compatible with the Titan/Prime master footpegs or even Micromasters that can fit Prime/Titan masters inside them.
I think this paves the way for a Titan class Omega Supreme and Scorponok, especially since this new trilogy will take place on Cybertron. Given the aesthetic, and incorporation of previous Prime Wars gimmicks, this is ample opportunity to see Star Saber, Thunderwing, Snapdragon and Apeface come into play without seeming out of place.
As long as they don't go back to Primemasters, I'll be happy.
Titanmasters and Combiners welcome though.
I wouldn't mind seeing Trypticon repainted as the Skystalker shuttle or the Titans Return legends repainted and retooled as Micromasters.
Windcharger - Roadhandler, Hyperdrive, Skystalker
Bumblebee - Hubs
Tailgate - Roadhugger
Wheelie - Blackjack
Beachcomber - Countdown
Or non Micromaster repaints/retools:
Beachcomber - Ruckus, Gripper, Joyride, Fizzle
Tailgate - Flame, Lightspeed
Brawn - Crankcase
Chase - Devestation Ground Troopers, Battle Chargers
Wheelie - Dion
Slash - Tyrannitron, Cruellock
i want some proper micro master goodness!
give me 3 packs of team and single packed bonus members. and all the extra vehicles, transports and bases possible! micromaster combiner's too!
Hmmm, makes me wonder if which size would be though, how Micro would these updated Micromasters be?
If they do that as well as some new molds, I would personally like new molds for the Rescue patrol from Victory.
(Boater/Seawatch, Fire/Red Hot, Pipo/Fixit, and Holi/Stakeout)
But I wouldn't be surprized if there wasn't a gimmick in the first part of the 'trilogy' and they just focused on giving us figures with Cybertronian alt-modes.
But yeah, targetmasters and Evolution leaders would be nice.
I hope the first few waves aren't just re-dos of the 84 cast, and we get some more of the 87-onwards guys. Although the appearance of Neednose and Spinister in the fan poll makes me hopeful
my bet is on being full of stickers instead of painted details, have no wrists on most of the figures,be even more simple than potp and have either a combining gimmick or a gimmick with spring loaded something on either the figure or its weapon.
I don't get this. Do you mean for distribution?
No, putting a cartoon behind it or making it the movie focus.
Cybertronian alt-modes and Targetmasters in the vein of PCC and/or Arms Micron mini-cons. And possibly Micromaster 2-packs.
We might even see the return of those mini-con/weapon figures that came with the T30 Legends class.
I think they said combiner ports and gimmicks will only fit characters that demand them, which is how it should be. Not that I ever complained persay, but CW Ultra Magnus is incredible and had no gimmick while some of the cars or Optimus were a bit hindered by it.
Target masters would be cool. I would be interested in some way of imagining the Ark updating their Cybertron look to an earth mode translated somehow to toy form. Evolution for Magnus, Star Saber or/ and Thunderclash
The rumor of Micromasters makes me think that the smallest price point is going to be exosuits for titanmasters again, except this time the suits will have vehicle modes instead of gun modes. There's so many characters they can re-do from that era of G1 - plenty enough to fill out three lines. Perhaps the later lines can introduces some of the later sub-gimmicks like micro-master combiners.
From what has been said, I'm also getting a feeling the other size classes will have more variety and not be bound to a single gimmick. We can have head masters, combiners, leader evolution, base modes, maybe even targetmasters - all in the same line. Whatever gimmick the G1 versions used - something I know fans have been clamoring for, even if I haven't personally. The only common gimmick will be that they will all be compatible with titanmasters to some extent, even if it's nothing more than pins for titanmaster feet.
A Cybertronian Blitzwing would be great...I'd troopbuild as Overcharge drones...
I expect we will still see them flesh out the 'masters and pretenders so they don't move on before they exhaust the masters play pattern.
With TRU gone I expect Hasbro to play it a bit cheaper. I don't think we'll see a titan! Instead I think Scorponok becomes an offering at leader (as well as Black Zarak).
For the higher price point I expect we get Piranacon and Monstructor as box sets. Yes, the last combiner box sets weren't huge successes....but they weren't known characters that fans have been clamoring for. And it lets them come to the Christmas season with $89 big ticket skus rather than pushing $150
