Hey everyone, Just wanted to know if those of you who own this set would reccommend it? I have heard of QC problems and just wanted feedback on whether it was worth the price etc... Thanks in advance
no QC problems with mine and I could not be happier with it. I am with Foster the 2010 colors are the bomb. I second Foster's recommendation.
ive had no probs w/ mine..i own the 2010 set(which i display w/CD upgrades) and the takara reissue before it( kept in box cuz it is the more expensive of the two)...and of the two i perfer the 2010 version...it just looks better with the gold stickers applied..tho some are a PITA to put on...i could be biased tho cuz PK is the one gestalt i always wanted as a kid......L8s..
what qc problems did you hear with it? one of the better reissues I've purchased in a long time, nice colors, big hefty diecast figures, very impressive figure. worth the original retail price, imo. though I think some stores may be clearancing it now.
I was not aware of any QC issues whatsoever. Mine is fine and I strongly recommend it as well. The gold that was used looks great.
thanks for the input everyone. as for QC issues, some boards i had seen mentioned the heads of some of the figures being too tight and breaking when combining to Predaking. Just wanted some opinions before I put the order in, since many folks are clearing out inventory and dropping the price. I always loved "the King" and thought it would look great next to Hercules once he's completed as well.
check the thread in feedback forum. I had peeling factory stickers, and a piece of razorclaw missing (the part that holds the gun onto his lion mode's back) Still don't regret it.
Hmm, interesting. I have both the 2010 version and the earlier takara reissue version. I haven't opened the 2010 version yet, but I love the takara reissue. I mostly purchased the 2010 version because my takara reissue was showing a little wear, I think the heavier die-cast pieces were taking a toll on the plastic joints. Predaking's left arm was starting to sag a little bit. So I wanted a back up Predaking. I totally love Predaking, he's an awesome imposing toy. I've got Omega Supreme set up as Predaking's counterpoint. I think this works better because their size is comparable, even though the cartoons have Devastator as Omega's nemesis. This may change when Hercules/Devastator is finished, though I don't know if there is an autobot tall enough to challenge Hercules/Devastator on scale. Maybe Fort Max.
I love my 2010 Predaking. Does have a minor assembly defect on my Tantrum's foot, one of the screws went in at an awkward angle and the plastic is a bit warped, but not enough to affect the functionality or overall look of the figure.
I love him though tantrums sticker film peeled off so now his sticker is chrome without a design. but i glued it back
I haven't had any QC issues with mine, I would highly recommend it. I don't own the earlier reissue so I can't make comparisons, but the gold on the 2010 version looks fantastic and, in my opinion, superior to the yellow.
