Hi All, Should be posting issue 86 asap. Just waiting for the colouring now. In the meantime not only have I finished the pencils for issue 87 but have also come up with an interesting 4-part story showing how the war started on Cybertron - kind of like war within but much more fitting with Marvels G1 comic canon rather than DW canon. It is set between the text story 'State Games' and 'And there shall come a leader' and hopefully consolidates all continuity quite nicely. Anyway, I did some concept drawings for Optimus both before and after Matrix transformation. They're pretty simple but I tried to make them as close as possible to the Earth forms while at the same time being a bit more cybertronian. Although I love the war within designs, some of them are radically different from the G1 incarnations of the same bot and I wanted to make it so that their Earth forms were chosen by the Arks computer due to resemblence to their forms and transform mechanisms rather than the other way around. Plus the Marvel comics always showed pre-Earth bots to be more or less the same in appearance. I hope to do a vehicle mode sometime soon as well as designs for another dozen or so TFs from the story.
