When I bought the new movie deluxes, I was delighted to see that Hasbro got rid of the awful tape on the back of the packages. It is now so much easier to get my eager hands on my new toys.

    I totally agree with you

It's so much easier to get it open

Now Hasbro have just got to remove the twisty ties

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF yes, Energon Unicron was a PAIN to open because he had like, a million twistie ties holding them down.

I too am glad that the tape with the plastic reaching around to the back of the box is gone. It makes the packaging look better, and now, I can just go ahead and rip the box open. It does however, make it easier for kids or A-holes to rip open the packaging in the store and take the toy, from what I've seen.

Also, if there are one or two twist-ties on a packaged figure, I'm fine. But when there are 10 or more, It starts to get ridicules.

Exactly what I was thinking! I hated the wraparound bubble. Traditional front bubble is much better.

Yeah, I noticed it too. Nice return to the old days. Although I wasn't too bugged with the tape as all it took was a quick whiz with a knife to split it around.

the move to the simplified, neater packaging is a good one, looks better and seemingly hasbro is taking it a step further as mentioned at botcon. I wish tf's were packed in small boxes like japan beastwars/g1 as id keep all my packaging then.

I too wish for less packaging. After my haul I had literally a trash bag full of plastic. What a waste!!!

Glad they're moving towards less "stuff" packaging... I remember saying once that I'll buy TF's packed in brown paper bags if it brings their cost down... More money can go into paint!

Gotta love it. Love that the packaging is smaller, too (or at least it seems to be, at least with the scouts).

I also love the new packaging. Much more compact and LESS tape. Bad things though is that I saw some of the scouts bubbles were coming loose from the cardboard backs on the store pegs. That would make it real tempting, and easy, for some A$$hole to swipe them right out of the packaging. They may need a slightly better adhesive.
