Looks like the gold power staff is coming out sooner than we thought: Power Rangers Legacy Zeo Golden Power Staff Prop Replica - Bandai - Power Rangers - Prop Replicas at Entertainment Earth
I wasn't expecting the Ninjetti coin set to show up in stores for a while still, but my TRU got a case and I grabbed one since I passed on ordering them when they were in stock on the website. They look nice. Don't know what else to say about them. I also picked up the Fire Fortress Megazord. That thing is massive. Probably a mistake buying it but I love the way it looks, especially compared to my Titan class transformers. It out bulks Trypticon no doubt. Of course it's much simpler than any TF. I hadn't really intended to collect the Ninja Steel Zords, but I'm going to pick up at least one if the Megazords to go with this thing. I'm thinking on of the recolored auxiliary zord ones, like the UFO instead of the regular Megazord. I may still track down a Shurikenjin at some point even if I cam use it with the Fire Fortress Megazord.
anyone interested in the legacy red ranger sword for 110+ship? MISB, international is ok too but shipping will be crazy
Emgo posted a video review of it on his channel a few days ago. Looking at it, I'm kind of glad I didn't pre-order it. It looks really very toylike. Moreso than I was expecting. With no detail fill and I can't see anything that looks like paint and not plastic. It looks more like a Kamen Rider toy then one of the nicer Sentai/PR pieces.
I saw this today as well at a TRU in Austin. It's a monster of a figure. I left it though, I am not sure where I would put that. lol
What figures are those? The rangers themselves I meant. All I can find are ones with giant ab muscles that look rediculous. Would like to complete a set of modern versions of the rangers.
For those in the U.K., I just saw the metallic MMPR Legacy figures (The ones with the weapons, for added clarification) in a TRU today. So, they're out somewhere at least.
Again, Have Metallic Legacy figures hit stores yet? You know, the Power Rangers Legacy figures with the power weapons?
It's utter junk. You have to put all of it together and nothing holds together well. It's hollowed out but has enough weight to force the legs to buckle in lion mode. (That's right, it borderline can't support its own weight.) It will only attach the Ninja Steel Megazord and nothing else. There are no hands for the Ultrazord, so you just slot Bull Rider Megazord's legs into the forearms, that's it. Nothing else attaches. Not the sword, shield or the Bull Rider's gun. It's even weaker than the mess that was the Super Megaforce Ultrazord. On top of that, it's a partsformer. You have to completely detach the lion's head to transform it between modes. The only thing it has going for it is the locking waist swivel, even the BOJ version didn't have that. Trypticon is leaps and bounds a better toy than this thing is. It's a solid waste of $100.00. Oh and when I say you have to put it together, I'm serious. The Ultrazord footrest/Lion Ha-Oh robot mode feet? Hollowed out attachable piece. The Lion Fortress Zord's gray back legs? Hollowed out attachable piece. (That doesn't actually fasten to the body and does come loose while pushing it, to the point of falling off and making the lion mode collapse like it lost a wheel.) The throwing star? Hollowed out. The guns on the back? REALLY hollowed out. There are video reviews of it on YouTube, watch them, you'll do your best to find an actual Lion Ha-Oh instead. It's oversized simply to make it a gimmick. It's not necessary to be that large and if/when you watch a video review, you'll see they made it large simply to make it a gimmick and nothing else.
Then this is definitely a hard pass for me. The main zords have been decent so far, but they aren't great. I have Bull Rider and the Ninja Storm zord, I guess that will have to do.
I already bought that thing like a week ago. I did kind of regret it when I took it out of the box and was putting it together. It definitely is flawed but apart from the hollowness and the partsforming (which I just accept because it's so common with sentai/pr robots anyway), the only thing that really bothered me in the end was the lack of hands in the combined mode. When I get the chance I may just get something 3d printed to fill those in. For the price and size I figured it was worth it to me considering the cheapest I'd seen Lion Haoh was the same price as this before shipping. Honestly I got it more for the novelty more than anything else anyway. I'm not really collecting the Ninninger or Ninja Steel stuff. I keep going back and forth about getting Shurikenjin, especially since its relatively cheap on the secondary market, but i might pick still end up buying one of the Megazord variants to interact with the Lion Fortress at some point.
Will probably pass on the Fire Lion Fortress and put that money towards paying off the BnG Titanus I have on layaway. FLF looks incredibly disappointing. I have no interest in spending $200 on Lion Ha-Oh either, so I guess I'm gonna go without for this guy. At first, I thought BoA might try to move away from Zord Builder and start producing toys from the BoJ molds instead. Skimp on a little paint and skip the electronics...they could easily release the BoJ molds for around $50 USD. That's only $15 more than the current MSRP for inferior toys. There's no reason they couldn't do that and release the BoJ version of Lion Ha-Oh to go with them for around $100-125...
