Found this posted on Facebook. Has the build-a-figure and the Legacy package art for the 6.5" Rangers.
The Thunder Megazord is now down to ~$158 with the 15% off on TRU's website today. Morphers are down as well.
It's actually available with a Prime lightning deal at $113. Still not the $100 mark I'd buy at, but a decent price.
$113 is an awesome deal. As I see the TMZ as essentially buying a Legacy 2-pack (Red Dragonzord + Thunderzords set), that's essentially $56.50 for each part, darn close to the price of what they should have been all along.
I just caved and bought Legacy Thunder MZ. $113 is too good to pass up. Glad I never picked it up those many times I crossed it's path at TRU. Thanks for posting that deal, Haloid1177!
I bought mine for $165 plus tax. Feel like I slightly overpaid but was still worthwhile, IMO. $113 is a steal.
Damn! I wish I'd caught that! I would've tried to get a price match from TRU! I paid quite a bit more, although not the MSRP.
I just saw MMPR Reviews back of the SDCC red rangers box and got so disappointed. When they first announced the build a figures it sounded like each ranger would have a miniature of their zords that could transform and combine into a miniature megazord with mild poseability (think Minipla but pre-built), but instead we get generic build-a-figures of the megazord with no transformation or combination features. Such a missed opportunity bandai, it wouldn't of even been that difficult.
I dunno, the way I see it is to split T-rex and mammoth up. Sabretooth, triceratops, and pterodactyl are still barely more plastic than their current build a pieces to be able to transform. Add one of T-rex's legs with each of the leg parts, his main body with red ranger, mammoth could still be two parts like the arms are now, and its head could go with pterodactyl and the sword. Note that this set up barely adds 3 joints to any of the figures listed, and adds very little in the way of additional plastic. $25 price point might even be enough.
It's been how many years and there's still no articulated fully functional megazord. I doubt they'd want to do what you're suggesting let alone sacrifice any potential profits. Hell, I'm surprised the figures look as decent as they do. That should be the miracle at this point lol.
I think they could. The current legacy figures sell at the $15 price point. Add in a minipla model kit and you'd be exactly at the $20 MSRP for the new Legacy Rangers. Because really, that chunk of solid PVC is what that extra $5 is going to.
I didn't get that from the original announcement at all. I just assumed it was parts to make a figure, like a miniature statue or something.
Part of me hope there will be a PR The Movie version of the Legacy Ninja Megazord. Just for the gorillas sake and no hand covers. Don't get me wrong the Kakure Daishogun is one of the most rad designs ever and I'd gladly own this. But if you want a gorilla that is clearly a macaque. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_macaque
My MiniPla Tousai Zyuoh arrived today, and verily it's a lil chunky lump of awesome! And the combined Zyuoh Tousai Wild looks pretty danged impressive!! I so cant wait for if/when they do the MiniPla Dodekaioh!!
Just wondering, Bandai will not release every Megazord under their Legacy series right? Just selected Megazord?
I don't know, this is the first I've heard about that. With how the Falconzord's designed it seems like the Shogun Megazord has a chance at least.
