It was around $120 on the TRU website for a couple of months before it sold out. I'll probably purchase TMZ on sight, though. But I'll use the layaway option to make it an easier purchase.
Was at a thrift store today and found a Power Rangers Supertrain Megazord for $14.99. I know pretty much nothing about Power Rangers but I figured considering the huge size of him, at that price I couldn't go wrong. It's only missing the antennas which isn't a big deal for me. So I was messing around with it and I kept hearing this rattling coming from inside the trains. Figured out that they opened up and here inside each train were the individual vehicles to make the Rescue Lightspeed Megazord. Score! Not too shabby for $15. I also picked up five other Megazords ranging in price from $3.99 to $9.99. Now I have to go back tomorrow to see if they put any more out.
I'm super jealous, man. The Lightspeed Megazords are some of my all-time favourites. Getting both for $15 is an incredible steal of a deal.
So, those two sets were sold separately though right? I'm just wondering since the Lightspeed vehicles fit inside the train cars.I originally thought that they all came together.
Yup, sold seperately, but meant to carry them of course. I don't know that they were never released as a special set at any time, though.
I'm really not into Power Rangers stuff at all, but whenever I do come across anything I'm always amazed at the quality of the Bandai products. It's just very well made.
I... I'm sooooooo incredibly jelous... I've been meaning to give my parent's attic a good search to see if they still have the one I had as a kid somewhere. Got that thing for my birthday back in the day, and other than our dog chewing up the accesory meant to go with the green zord, it was in perfect shape the last time I remember seeing it... and still had the box... I don't think they ever sold them together, but it's been so-long that I can't remember what all they did for LR's line.
There's going to be some PR celebrities at this convention. RHODE ISLAND COMIC CON Amy Jo Johnson has here own panel. The rest of the PR celebrities will have a panel together. You can only ask one question per panel. What question would you ask Amy Jo Johnson and what would you ask the PR group?
The hell is that supposed to be? It's like they just took random toys and glued them together into one.
Its called minipla. They are miniature candy toy (model kit). Not only are they fully functional but they are SUPER poseable. And yet this current (last mecha for this year looks awful bu the minipla is the best of this years mecha. Bandai has been doing these kits for years now (pre zyuranger) but the articulated ones started with gekiranger? and have been going ever scince.
Megaforce may have not been the best Power Rangers, but at least it got one unique morpher device that's not a cellphone. *sigh* and yes people, we still don't have Dino Charge toys here yet.
Just showing off my non-figure Dairanger collection: I've watched episodes 11-20 today and hot damn I love nearly every minute of this show. I do have to say though that Shout's subtitles are awkward at times. Some things they will fully translate in English (like Dairinkin to Big Wheel Blade, Mythical Ch'i Beast, and Byakkoshinken to White Tiger Sword), but then they'll keep other things untranslated (mecha, some of the attacks and weapon names, and they kept it Byakko for when Kou calls him by his name). That minor nitpick aside though, I haven't noticed any spelling errors yet.
I don't watch Dino Charge but I picked up Graphite Ranger a long time ago. He actually looks pretty good as an alternative to the Figuarts. Can't wait till the female Violet Ranger is released!
Got my DX Datas Hyper a couple days ago. Easily one of my favorite Sentai toys. Has a very 80's mecha feel to him and a good heft.
Just saw Juohking. While I'm down for "brick" mecha, I didn't mean for them to take the analogy literally. Think I'll skip this go-around...
