Those cgi rendering Lightning Collection figures like the vs and the monsters are being revealed and announced they will be available for preorder at 1pm EST.

 

So looking at King Sphinx and Pumpkin Rapper on the pulse video, both of them are missing decos. are these the final product? Like Pumpkin Rapper not having any black on his head seems like a huge miscue.

 

Bandai of Japan is still doing Super Sentai. There's a new mech that just dropped.

Everything's scaled back but BoJ isn't resting the franchise.

Bandai of America lost the license to Hasbro, so as someone else said, they have nothing to back off from. Hasbro seemed unprepared with Beast Morphers, investing more in their Lightning Collection action figures instead of the main toyline. It is clear they really didn't have a good road map when they scooped the franchise from Saban. Hopefully, that changes with Dino Fury.

Beyond that, there are rumors that Hasbro will move away from TOEI's Super Sentai series and invest more in the nostalgia of the brand - similar to Transformers. That means animation and original modern/retro sentai designs in the vein of the Zordon era, probably - if it happens.

In the promo shots they show Pumpkin Rapper with a wash that makes his eyes and mouth pop. King Sphinx doesn't have any of that.

 

The picture of the Zeo Megazord back there reminds me how much it's not worth $65.

I'm kind of glad I imported the ryusoulger brace and sword, the US ones look (predictably due to cost) plain. The American zords look cool though.

 

Normally I would buy 2 of each figure. But I don't find it necessary for the Monsters. So I just ordered one of each monster. Leaving the 2 packs.

 

WTF? They all sold out already. I had them in my cart and it says Sold Out.

It looks cool to me. Seems basically like the Bandai toy with added articulation (elbows and head) and (a little surprisingly) a lot more detail.

I don't know how much these are going to cost but it's almost unfortunate that one of the gimmicks (the head) is tied to the cheaper action figures because I was a little disappointed that those keys basically have stickers instead of a mold on the non head side.

I have some Ryusoulger toys and was planning on finishing but I might just wait for these instead.
