I would definitely pick up the Dairangers, though at this point, Bandai would need to do a serious update on their Sentai Figuarts body molds as they are extremely outdated.
So I got my Omega Ranger set yesterday, and like yeah it got some problems but I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would, but I always had a soft spot for Omega Ranger/Deka Break's design and it's nice to have a higher quality figure after all these years.
My Psycho 5 pack is here and issue free! Pink's chest might've been a tad light on paint, there's a little bit in the center diamond where some black comes through. But everything else, most importantly the faces, are pretty perfect. Feeling very fortunate for that after seeing so many images of very poorly done paint on those. Also it came in an additional brown mailer box inside of the Amazon box. Hasbro over here making me feel like I'm getting an exclusive Figuart lol.
My guess is Hasbro knows Amazon too well and specifically placed the Psycho box in a brown box just in case they decided to just slap a shipping label on that, and if not, knew they would ship it in a box 3 times its size without any packing material (which is how mine came).
You mean LiOh? Yeah, I don't think he was ever in the cards. I'm a little disappointed too since he's the one GoBuster mecha I don't have. I might have even bought a non-transforming version if it was cheap.
yeah, it is obvious the second half of Beast Morphers product is not going to focus much on the Grid Battleforce team but more of an overall celebration of the property (with a heavy emphasis on MMPR)
Can we please at least get an MMPR reunion? It would be nice to see the original six on screen again even if they have to have Trini only make morphed appearances. I’d settle for the surviving 5 + a suit actor and maybe stock footage for the morphing sequence.
since Marvel Legends has been experimenting with larger, slightly more expensive boxed characters (like Apocalypse, build-a-figure reissues, etc) I wonder if this might be an outlet for those ranger figures that would be too deco-heavy to make the cut in the standard Lightning price point...throw in a bunch of extra weapons and blast effects, maybe an explosion or stand...
It’ll probably happen. Drakkon with metallic gold paint, decapitated Saba, stand and more lightning effects. Ninjor could fit too. Plus the space chicken from Koryuger
I doubt that would ever happen. A reunion at say Power Morphicon, sure...maybe if Austin St. John (Jason) and Jason David Frank (Tommy) have buried their decades long feud. It's funny cause I recently read that Power Rangers comic "Soul of the Dragon" portraying an older Tommy with his "Master Morpher" going one last time to fight in his many Ranger forms to find out what happened to his son, and thought on how there should be a comic that focuses on the original five Rangers in their later years and suddenly having to use their powers again that they somehow regained. Like it could be a storyline that tied into the recent Beast Morphers crossover explaining how Jason got Zack, Kimberly, Trini, and Billy back to help fight one more time as Rangers.
Supposedly they have and according to JDF he would actually welcome the chance to work with Austin St. John and Amy Jo Johnson again. I don’t know anything about it from their ends.
Ever since that Black Widow with the figure stand came out that's all I've been wanting. Have them be $30 with a figure stand, effects (colored explosions would be nice), and accessories. The thing that makes PR a gold mine for Hasbro is most of the heroes can use the same bodies, one male, one female, the only thing that needs to change are the helmets, belts, and weapons for the most part, which is why I'm trying to figure out why Hasbro seems to be struggling at times, but the line is essentially a baby to them, they're still trying to figure it out. Although, to be honest, I wish they could get a new female body as I think the MMPR Pink and Yellow rangers are too skinny. At least they're not Bandai bad though.
Comics are one thing, but doing something to act as though Thuy Trang is still alive in the show feels ghoulish.
If anyone's looking I'll offer here before they go on eBay. I've got a set of the core 5 MMPR Figuarts I'm getting rid of, set only, make an offer
isn't there a fan first friday announcement scheduled for today? edit: oops, I guess it is next Friday, the 14th
I thought about doing the same thing, but I'm not 100% convinced yet that I really do want to replace my Figuarts with the Hasbro figures. I made that mistake with DC Icons and sold off my DCUC only for it to blow up in my face. Not sure I want to chance it again.
