The only thing for me is that owning the Minipla just makes me wish I had the DX versions all the more. And when the Minipla is going for $100+, I'd just as soon wait for a decent auction to come along. You can get a decent DX figure for the price of two or three SMP figures at this point.
I posted some pictures of my Sentai Super Miniplas several weeks ago here, I'll re-post a couple of them below. They are actually all pretty similarly sized. As much as I love them, to be honest I think $100 is an amount I would struggle to convince myself to spend on one of these non-Premium Bandai kits. Maybe I would for Sun Vulcan if I had to, but only because it holds immense nostalgic value for me.
I will also double that I love my super minipla, and if you get them for their retail price they are more than worth it. I think Daizyujin left a sour taste in some peoples mouths, he is the objectively weakest release in the line, but since then they have improved steadily and I cannot wait for the next ones. Lightspeed Rescues zords are still such a favorite to me, I have all 3 pre-ordered.
That helps immensely. Guess I'll pass on the ones on Ebay for now and just wait for a possible reissue.
Anyone have experience preordering from Nin-Nin-Game? Looks like they have open preorders for the 3 KyuuKyuu Sentai Super Minipla sets.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on KishiryuOh 3-knight formation DX for $49 shipped off Amazon Japan. These are not my favorite Sentai mechas by any stretch of the imagination...but that's a fair enough price. Also got Dimevolcano to go with KishiRyuNeptune. While Sentai pricing is nuts right now, Ryusoulger seems to be in heavy enough clearance that stores are holding the line on most of their pricing.
A board member mentioned that tomorrow will be a fan first for power rangers. I'm hoping they reveal mmpr black ranger and maybe some other surprises.
It's the part forming that gets me down the most. Ryusoulger literally went all in with the idea of "LEGOformers". When your favorite mecha is based on 80's/90's designs, these just seem a tad on the "abomination" side of things. Maybe after I give them some extra time, I'll grow a tad more attached because I do like LEGOs. It's just hard to go from here: To here:

Yeah, I've already got Zedd, but damn if this didn't get my preorder as soon as it went up. I guess I'll have to sell one of my Zedd's when this one shows up. MMPR Black is pretty much a given so I'm hoping they show off more than just him if he gets revealed. I really want to see that Omega Ranger with Cycle set. Well, this is pretty cool. I'm surprised they're even doing Zordon... though he sounds like he's more of an electronic accessory than anything, but given his character that's to be expected really. Very very cool!
1) this makes up for the baf alpha 5 that was cancelled from Bandai. 2) what's left for mmpr? Scorpina, squat, baboon, finster, rito...
