They're not exactly models. I had the same impression, they're more or less exquisite toys you assemble yourself. I mean, yeah, they come together like a model, but they definitely feel like a toy. A good one, though.

I don’t know. All the super minipla I’ve put together have felt like models to me. They’ve all more or less had the same thin lightweight plastic.

Yep the robot mode. It’s fallen off every time I’ve tried. It’ll stay in I mean, but if you push up on it even a little it’s flying loose.

I’ll give half snapping it in a try

Some are thin, admittedly. The Voltron I have feels pretty solid. Maybe due to its design/construction, it's slightly different from the other sets?

That's about the only option, unfortunately. Neither the mass retail release, nor the Amazon exclusive, can get it to work properly.

No offence, this looks like a Day-Care toy.

You’d think that because of the colours, but upon closer inspection it looks to have full articulation. The arms are noticeably jointed, it has ankles, thigh cuts, possibly even knees, and the left hand is splayed open quite dynamically for a toddler’s toy. The proportions are also more realistic and if the wings were properly folded away and hiding their un-detailed side it wouldn’t be particularly under detailed sculpt-wise. It doesn’t really look Playskool at all. (Certainly not as bad as the previously revealed $45 Megazord)

I think this might be a modern version of those non-transforming, articulated Megazords from Lost Galaxy/Lightspeed Rescue, only with better range.

I think the thought process going into getting one of these Tamashii web exclusives such as the Jaguar Vulcan has to be asking yourself whether you really want it, and if you do, can you afford to pay the asking price? I certainly don't think Jaguar Vulcan is "worth" $150 or so, but it's something I really wanted and could afford to pay for it, so I got it and am happy with it.

Jaguar Vulcan, once built, feels straight up like a sturdy toy, not a fragile model. Plastics are very sturdy and pretty thick, more so than the typical Super Minipla Sentai robots, so unless you're throwing it around the room, it should be good to go.

I've built all the general release Super Minipla Sentai robots since Liverobo (plus Voltron), and I find them to be sturdier than typical Gundam model kits. To me they are almost toy-level sturdiness, but not quite. I did think the Voltron kit's plastics feel a bit more fragile, but that's just personal impression and I don't know for sure.

I think how they should do things now is each wave will contain...

    2 Male Rangers
    1 Female Ranger
    1 Monster/Villain

Glad to see them getting into In Space. Starting with Yellow seems to say they have the whole the team designed already.

I dont understand what hasbro is doing with this line at all. If that thing really is nontransforming then who is it for? what a waste.

zords arent complex like transformers, it should be an easy thing to make. Transforming and articulation! Add a bunch of sculpted detail like in siege/earthrise. I dont need them to be huge, just deluxe or voyager size. Its not some complex thing to do it right.

If Hasbro make's non-transforming megazords then they have failed in the Power Rangers brand to me.

Either it's a straight-up action figure with a bunch of accessories, or it's in the same line as the Dino Megazord, in which case, the helmet gimmick makes sense. It's also as unpainted as the Dino, so it kind of lines up.

I hope that's not the $80-90.00 one in TRU's computers... That would SUCK.

But, like, they're still making transforming Megazords, and they've already made non-transforming ones for Beast Morphers.

So then did Bandai of America (and Japan) fail the brand to you?

If it transforms, I'll begrudgingly be interested. I think it would look nicer if the gold parts were chromed.

How much? Dorkside has the Putties individually, but they want $25 plus shipping, which is nope for me.
