i want a Lightning Collection 2017 Rita with bonus Krispy Kreme.
Great review! I was initially on the fence about this, but I might drop the extra cash to get the Go-Buster versions of these guys. I'd like to see Hasbro do a Lightning Collection line of Megazords that function like Bandai's Minipla but with more robust joints and a more solid build. I'll even take a sacrifice in size for it.
Speaking of Minipla I still want to know if the Minipla Ninja/Shogun Megafalconzords are compatible with Minipla Titanus.
The Gobuster ones have a lotttt if clip issues, especially the bug ones. Imma be hinest the hasbro Ones are sturdier
Oh, I absolutely agree with Sixshot. The BOJ clips are atrocious, and this set is more show accurate in terms of build/style. The BOJ is a boxy brick.
I was wrong on the articulation.
Ultrazord has the following articulation:
-Shoulder rotation as well as lateral movement
-Hip rotation as well as slight lateral (if you use the transformation movement)
You don't realize it at first, which is why I knocked it, but it's quite poseable, actually. Red Racer is doing most of the work, yes, but they come together to make an impressive package when it's all said and done. My rating is a bit higher, now that I know this. First impressions and all that.
YESSSSSS!!! Gouraigers are a must!
Literally just grabbed their Figuarts off AmiAmi preowned last night for $60, very hype.
an interesting thing people have observed is her hands are designed to hold the bow in her left and the arrow in her right whereas in the show it is opposite (right-handed bow and left-handed arrow)
Grabbed two more Putties at Gamestop for 25% off. Now just have to sell the excess Tommys.
It also has forward backward hip movement, though it's cumbersome to use (you have to maneuver the front armor a bit strangely). I got mine same day you did, and after spending time with it really like it. Only think I'd complain about is red racers outward hip movement looks odd because they didn't just use the transformation joints for the thighs, they have those actual static thighs above the outward movement.
This. It really does seem a lot better once you put it through its paces. They've done a pretty good job with this, over at Hasbro, I must give credit where it's due. These are a lot better than BOA's stuff. Even their Legacy stuff isn't really up to par with this Ultrazord. I say that because while yes, they had die-cast, no the articulation wasn't there. Plus, the die-cast was in really odd places and that didn't always help with stability. This is all painted plastic, but it's sturdy enough that kids and adults can play with it (now that I see the tolerances), and it's poseable. This thing is heavy when fully combined and the fact that it can balance at all, let alone pose, is insane.
People cried out for Hasbro to save Power Rangers and guess what? Those cries were right on the money. This is like a breath of fresh air. BOA's stuff was well past stale and had become moldy by comparison.
I wouldn't mind seeing BOJ upscale their Minipla and make those the DX's. They've dropped die-cast from their mainline stuff, anyhow, might as well get the max out of the plastic. I was a little surprised by the cube animals (which I absolutely ADORE) and the constellation mecha. Not a speck of metal on any of it save for pins and screws. It feels well made and it's heavy as well as sturdy, so there's no reason they couldn't put more articulation into their stuff.
Maybe they'll hit up Hasbro for pointers, sometime.
Curious. Is there anyone still looking for lightning collection goldar?
Just grab whatever you find and offer them here. There's plenty of folks here who can't get one. Whatever you don't sell just return to the store.
Do you have a few to sell?
I'm going to eb games after work today to check it out. Can't promise though. But if, do you mind it coming from Canada?
Interesting. I'd honestly never noticed that on the show. Especially since you typically hold the bow with your non-dominant hand and fire with dominant one... now I'm wondering if the Japanese actress might have been left-handed...
My assortment of lightning collection so far, had to sub in a legacy collection power sword because the sdcc set had a packaging error
@tigatron2002 Did the Putty get hold of the Sword of Darkness?
Yep wanted tommy holding the dragon dagger and he only has 1 weapon holding hand haha
How well does the Power Blaster stay together?
Separate names with a comma.
