I wish I could agree, but the paint job on Saba was still just as lackluster as it was in the promo shots.
I guess we'll have to wait and see when the figure comes out. That said... the packaged version is also properly painted on her and the packaged figures are typically pretty final.
I mean, it's not really a matter of opinion when you can look at the package and see that she's shorter: The warning label even provides a handy little yard stick from which to judge. Pink's feet are the same distance away from the window border as Gold's, but her head doesn't even quite come up to the label whereas Gold's goes right past it. I mean, in the final packaging shot in the picture I have posted here you can see the elbows are painted. My guess is the promo pics were hand-painted protos and whoever did them just forgot. The actual production version has them painted.
Ah, you're right. Well that's something. Hopefully her pink will be the same throughout instead of three different shades like the Figuart.
She’s objectively shorter than the other figures. This isn’t a matter of opinion, “gigantic” is not what she is. Plus, your original complaint was about scale. She’s in-scale, as proven by my photo. She’s at least half a head shorter, which seems about right.
I can see him maybe getting hung up on Amy Jo Johnson's relatively short 5' 2" frame (according to Google). But being slightly off scale only means a difference of like, a millimetre or two. You really can't tell in a lineup. She's a head shorter than the dudes, and that's all that should really matter.
I see customizers darking the gold a bit and his face and teeth as well. But Goldar or whomever he was in the sentai looks badass.
Outside of Marvel Legends it seems to be par for the course with Hasbro at SDCC this year. Frankly, I was expecting to see another wave outside of wave 2. Also I read over on Takunation that there was supposed to be a Power Rangers panel from Hasbro, but I can't find a listing for it on the SDCC site.
Just Hasbro? I'd say the whole con itself has been pretty low key. As for teh Power Rangers panel, it was Thursday night. That's where they revealed Wae 2 and announced that Jason is appearing in Season 2 of BM next year.
Agreed. I really haven't been paying much attention to anyone else so I wouldn't know if say Mattel, etc. also had lackluster panels. And I guess I missed that those reveals came from a panel as I didn't see anyone actually cover the panel. Oh well. I was hoping for more than just a Wave 2 reveal since we already knew what was in it, but hadn't seen it yet outside of BM Red. Would have been nice to at least see images of waves three, four and maybe Hasbro's take on some Legacy style Zords.
So, anywho... Who's preordered the Amazon exclusive Ultrazord? It's $170.00 with tax, included, but you do get the mini-figures and the deck...thingy that was shown in the GoBusters original. I give 'em credit for adding that, but I think it would be cheaper to buy the Ultrazord piecemeal. On the other hand, you get all of 'em in one box, no muss and no fuss. I'm a little surprised by the ages 8+ on the packaging, though.
