Y'know, not everyone has time to read 11 pages of a thread nor does everyone keep up with the thread.
Doofy's a good way to put it if it isn't even an actual rubsign. Made even worse that they used a movie Decepticon Symbol...

So, they raised the SRP of TF's again? Or did I miss an old memo?

,The limbs don\'t look bad at all. But Hun-gurr...
For starters, they should've added shield-wings to his back.

    Nices.
I had forgotten what bricks that the Terrorcon limbs were in robot mode. The PotP versions look a lot better in both robot and alt modes.
Hun-Gurrr is a mixed bag for me. I like that the PotP version has the combined mode parts integrated, but I'll miss the shield of the original.
The heads on the alt look better, but the original has better looking forelegs.

has anyone thought of this yet? the price hike on these figures might be because of the combiner kibble this time around. the hands included with the deluxes seem a bit beefier than the HFG's that came in CW and the voyagers are coming with full blown feet, two giant accessories that i can absolutely see the need for the $30 price point at the voyager class.

the more i think about it this way, the less i see it as a price hike and more of the fact that they are including proper combiner accessories this time around. after POTP we very well may see the prices drop back down to "normal" deluxe and voyager prices.

to be fair, Hun-Gurrr does come with the combined mode feet, which are advertized as shields... so, i mean he does came with a giant pink things you can attach to his arms, lol

Nothing from retail usually does it for me but these guys. I'm quite stunned. I almost want them just for monster modes.

    Bravo.

I love everything about these guys. I'm so happy with them.

Can't wait to get them. My hesitation with Hun-Grrr is fading, I'm getting used to his new quirks.

Like I've said when they were first leaked, if they're good I'll buy them multiple times.... and well... yup, going to do just that.

Also – and I can't believe nobody else has brought this up – his rear knees BEND THE WRONG WAY.

HIS KNEES BEND THE WRONG WAY.

If speciation about how the Rippersnapper retool works proves correct, and they replace the dragon tail with a turtle head and turn the back legs into front legs, then the knees will bend the correct direction. Poor Hun-Grr really suffered from being a pretool that inherited all his engineering from a fucking jet airplane.

(Edited to clarify which legs I was referring to.)

The thing about Hun-Gurrr's beast-legs/robot-arms, is that the tooling of the beast-feet/robot-hands kinda necessitates that the limbs bend that way in beast-mode. See, with Silverbolt you just simply flipped the hands out and let them hang on the back of Superion's legs, and Hun-Gurrr seems to follow the same set-up. The reason for that is how the arms stiffen to provide more solid limbs for Abominus, the back of the elbows locking in with the upper arms/thighs, which wouldn't really be possible if the lower arms could swing 180* either way, and if you rotated the arms around so that the beast-mode would have more proper knees you'd have to change the tooling of the hands to prevent them from ending up on the front of Abominus's thighs, which could create clearance issues with kibble on several bots in leg-mode, like the aerialbots and their raised nosecones.

Personally I think they could have made Hun-Gurrr's upper arms/beast-thighs a bit bigger to make them somewhat beefier and shapely to look at in beast-mode. Perhaps make them a bit more similar to CW Sky-Lynx's and find a way to include robot hands on those.

And btw, any issues regarding the size of Hun-Gurrr's beast heads, the reason for their size is because they fold inside the necks/legs for torso-mode, if you look at the picture of the Hun-Gurrr on display from behind, you can clearly see the specificaly shaped indents where the beast heads are supposed to fit, making the heads any bigger would end up disabling this part of the transformation.

actualy the front legs should be similar to your arms, so if the tail becomes the head... than the legs are wrong way again. I wonder if Takara will fix that. I predict they will do something major with Hung-gurr since the other members are perfect.

Yeah, I meant his back legs/ robot arms. His forelegs are fine, aside from being tiny, and I'm sure will be replaced with new limbs for the Rippersnapper retool.

I guess? If that's the name of the turtle at the core of Piranhacon.
