But a Generations Primal would be cooler.

Nothing there that interest me, except maybe the wild card. I couldn't care less for the other 3. 

 

Sad to not see Arcee here but at least the other two characters I've voted for Primal and Star Saber are up here.  

 

Why are there four? I thought there were only three categories? Was there a tie or did they say they'd always pick four?

I kind of suspect "unknown evil" is going to be in the comics and get a toy no matter what, and is somehow an integral part of the story. Which is fine because hey, Deathsaurus toy!  

As always, I will be voting for BEAST WARS.  

 

I'm glad a lot of people whose candidates lost in the primaries are choosing not to vote. In fact, I suggest EVERYONE who is NOT voting for Primal follow this bold example!  

 

I'll happy as long as Ultra Magnus doesn't win. As I've said before, I like the character! But he's straight up the most boring choice. I honestly didn't think he'd make it to this round, which has me worried that there's way more g1 people voting based on name recognition than I previously thought.

 

If Deathsaurus is getting a toy regardless then why is he there? Imo it would make more sense to keep him under wraps to give the illusion that he lost then have him be a "surprise" at the end.

 

It\'s not that I don\'t like these characters, but including them in this poll guaranteed they\'d win by default, that\'s just how people are.

They always said there would be four finalists. What they never explained was how the fourth finalist would be picked. Likeliest is Deathsaurus got the most overall votes of the six losers.

 

They're *all* getting a toy regardless. Deathsaurus was the best runner-up so he's getting a chance against the one or two other category winners he may have gotten more votes than.

Just like the playoffs in sports.

 

Considering recent teasers, I'm pretty sure both Star Saber and Deathsaurus are getting new Generations toys anyway.

So Primal is the one who needs to win the poll the most since there are no hints of an upcoming figure of him.

 

Considering MP Primal just came out and is now getting an altered re-release I feel it's kind of redundant putting him up there.

 

Those are MPs though, Generations figures are what most people want.

What size class would Primal be then? I feel like Leader is too big for him, better off as Voyager imo.

 

I’ve been thinking about this and what are we really getting out of this vote? The tagline has been that ‘the winner gets the matrix & is the next Prime’, but how is this going to be used? What fiction will accompany it? Sure, all the “Power of the Primes” toys may reference it, but is IDW going to make this a permanent change, or a temporary one? Are we getting a new cartoon that is based on this (no MACHINIMA, you don’t count!!) Is RID going to have this happen? Has Hasbro decided, unilaterally, that Optimus is no longer Prime in all upcoming fiction? (Doubt it…)


My point is, we don’t know. So this vote may only affect the next toyline (POTP) and be immediately forgotten after it’s done (but still shelfwarming some figures). So I hope they reveal more than just the winner at Toyfair…
