Ouch, sorry to hear that. I plan on getting him later on. I'm hoping mine won't be so bad.
I'd actually really like to know if it's still a recurring thing, since I haven't gotten one that I kept. Check the review thread for it too; that's where I voiced most of my issues.
Prime Wars Blast Off
I gotta ask this, but will Amazon refill their stock on this fella? Or was this a blink and you’ll miss it type of deal?
They'll more than likely restock. All their other exclusives were like this, too, just took time to get everyone their orders.
If it matters any, I preordered on August 11th, wasnt in the initial batch of shipments, contacted customer service and complained, got issued a 30 dollar amazon credit, got an email notification on Friday (October 12th), and received the figure yesterday.
Soooo...I have no idea what their protocol is for distributing this figure.
Out of curiosity, were the shoulders correctly assembled on yours?
It wasn't. I had to do the fix myself.
While taking photos of him I rolled him forward and saw a black streak on the paper. Just be weary of his toes the paint comes off easily
Well, today turned out kinda horrible because I was in a car accident. I've got a cervical sprain on my neck and a splitting headache, but otherwise I'm physically more or less okay. Mentally I'm a mess.
I've got Punch here to keep me company while I file the insurance claim. Haven't gotten a chance to transform him yet, but I'm glad that I have him. I like him a lot from what I've seen and done so far, but the shoulder kibble is kinda wonky and I don't know if I have it in place properly.
I'll go watch some YouTube video reviews of him after a shower to see what I'm missing. Also, are the shoulders on mine fixed or not?
Oh geez, I'm so sorry man. I hope everything turns out okay, and that you're starting to feel better.
The shoulders look more or less right, there are little tabs on the shoulders that fit into little slots on the blue fenders, but they seem to be too tight for most people. On mine they don't even come close to fitting. I actually prefer swiveling the shoulder pads 180 and then folding them back so that the hood is on top and the wheels are on the insides of the shoulders rather than the outsides. But that's me.
Mine turned up today, so possibly a bit later on down the productionline, and it was still the incorrect 'round top' shoulder connectors on mine, so it needed the fix.
Fix was easy enough to do, and now it actually transforms (wasn't even close to fitting together neatly prior to the fix, so it was definitely wrong). Arguing that this is a mod instead of a fix is like saying all the old Xbox 360's that died from poor construction/lack of thermal paste were acting as intended.
Can't wait for a Crosshairs/Sureshot/Pointblank reuse of this base mold! I know Sureshot is a long shot for this mold, but they managed it for the Decepticon Targetmasters...
Ordered mine from Kapow on eBay on Sunday so I would imagine that should be the ‘fixed’ second run right? I guess the check would be whether the flat section on the ball piece is at the top on his shoulder right? I really really really don’t want to do any fix as I will obsess about whether I damaged it.
Shit sorry to hear that man. Hope you are holding up and Punch is giving you something cool to focus on.
I finally am getting a punch tomorrow from Amazon. I have 1 more to get from Amazon though. So i am at least happy i have a punch finally cause i can now play around with him. Then see what you guys are talking about and read how i flip the shoulders around so i can have him transform right.
Yup, flat part at the top helps the arms lock in place for car mode
Just got mine in the mail today. Real cool figure.
I transformed him once, and he was a mess of non-tabbing parts. Did that shoulder fix and now he slides together and keeps that way. Saved the figure for me.
Shaving down the nibs. I posted in radicons about it. Will find thread
