My POTP Predaking (PredaRex?), now with free roaming Headstrong and Torox. They're way faster during the hunt now without all the extra weight hanging off them. =)

Yeah, it's a new assembly to allow for disengaging the combiner legs from the two leg bots, but still keeping them "combinable". (I don't think that's a word, but I'm going with it =).

 

What sorcery is this

 

Any suggestions on how to give Moonracer a better leg mode?

 

Give how She transforms I'm not sure there is much that can be done. You could leave the front of the "car" untransformed for leg mode but the robot arms have to be moved to make room for her combiner peg.

 

The important thing is, how do I buy it!?

I know I've said that the biggest thing I have loved about POTP was the fact that Hasbro finally gave us updates to the rest of the G1 Dinobots but over the last few months, I think I've actually decided that getting the new Optimus Primal is perhaps the biggest highlight of POTP for me. And I'm not just saying that because of my webcomic, but in all seriousness, I really didn't have a big desire to pick up POTP Primal and while I enjoyed Beast Wars, I didn't feel a need to have an updated Primal.

However, I did end up getting him at walmart.com for retail and I am very glad I did. While I'm not too happy on the core figure not having its own gorilla mode, his fully combined Optimal Optimus robot mode is nothing short of amazing. He is very well articulated and I've managed to get him standing in poses that a normal retail figure would topple over. His articulated hands also a big plus and make him a very versatile figure.
