Jesus. Ballmatrix's review of PotP Optimal Optimus really highlights how bad the toy is.

 

Yeah, he seemed to be awfully forgiving of the several flaws he encountered at the end.

 

The main problem is that you can tell they prioritize the “Optimal Optimus” mode and the gorilla mode (when combined with Optimus Primal). They are clearly the two best modes.

I really wish they had made it to where Optimus Primal turned into the Gorilla or they put more thought into his vehicle mode. I still like the toy none-the-less, but I do acknowledge that Star Saber would have been a much better addition to the line.

 

Yeah I got a similar problem with mine. Mine has two right hands.

So PotP wave 2's pretty much just not coming to stores/back to stores (depending on what you were lucky enough to find during the hot second they were) because of stupid corporate politics, right? By the time Hasbro decides they want to ship product again comes, it'll probably be on to wave 3 across the line it's taking so long..

Still cannot find the Prime Masters, which are all I still need from that wave... I just do not believe they have showed up in my area. Only place anyone in the TX sightings thread has said they've seen them is a grocery store that is not in my city. So I was about to order the one that's releasing in Japan this month from AmiAmi since I already have an order for June from them only to discover they've now closed orders. Shouldn't have waited as long as I did hoping I'd find them in person. Sucks. I really want to like this line, but it's hard when you can't find jack.

Little more relevant... Yeah, Star Saber would of course have been the better choice for this line if we knew the gimmick ahead of time, but we didn't and I feel a lot of people forget that part. But OpOp still looks good to me and I like it's homage to all of Primal's forms. Haven't watched a review yet, but I've been loving all of the pictures being shared (so thanks for that everyone sharing!). Really, really hope I don't miss this one.

Is it really poor distribution for the 2nd wave? I found Sludge 2 months ago and thought Moonracer, Elita one, Hung-Grr, and Snarl shouldn't be far behind. That was pretty much it, never ever saw the rest of these guys and probably never will. At my local walmart there is another influx of Jazz, Swoop, Slag and Inferno?!? So that perplexes me that Wave ones are being somehow distributed but Inferno is making this mass appearance. I wonder if I should just go for Takara's Snarl that is scheduled to be released this month. It be disappointing that I'm paying extra for the same figure but it seems like some people had been just selling their arms and legs on Ebay just to obtain him. I might as well pay the extra $10 for him if that is the case. I noticed that some people couldn't even wait for the remaining terrorcons that they pre-ordered (soldout) the Takara versions on bbts.

I only saw that wave ince in one store ( deluxes) and even then it was picked over... no Moonracers or Blackwings.

I have never seen Hun Gurr or any prime masters past wave 1. This shit is inexcusable... plenty of that movie crap rotting everywhere though and I mean the new ones in the generations boxes

as soon as I find a full deluxe wave 3 for sale like bbts for even close to retail I'm gonna go ahead and pull the trigger on it.

I have no idea what I'm going to do about Hun Gurr because my boys each want one.

 

I got a shipping notice today.

 

Distribution is TERRIBLE! The places around me had wave 2 for like, 2 weeks at most. Now they have restocked wave one! No sign of wave two apart from Hungrr. I've been trying to get sludge at a price i can do for ages!
