i mean technically lol, but yeah don't do that.
A couple Vehicle Mode pics (Since the other's didn't load onto FLickr):
Hit me with your best shot, Fire Away!
Found a Slug so now I have enough limbs for a combiner!
Took some POTP figures with me to the beach yesterday:
Technically not POTP, but TR...
My Battleslash came with a...Vector Swoop card, that's.....odd. Kinda bummed he didn't come with his own, especially since Roadtrap came with his proper card, but I digress.
Dig the two guys, Battleslash much more than Roadtrap admittedly. Battleslash's robot mode is great, chunky in the right ways, looks and feels solid. His transformation is interesting and his vehicle mode is a cute lil' copter. Roadtrap, well, his transformation is pretty fun and I like the colors. Yeah, don't actually have a lot of good to say about him on his own. His vehicle mode is alright, it's an ok truck. Robot mode is again, just kinda ok. But hey, his transformation is nice. Thankfully the combined mode is fan-freaking tastic. Like, damn is this one of the best updates to a really bad G1 toy to date. The pair become a good deluxe sized robot with great articulation, a really cool design, a fun transformation/combination (even if it is just sticking the two halves together at the end). Only complaint is lack of any kind of weaponry. I'd love a sword and gun combo for him, one for each arm.
Yeah, this post probably is better served for the feedback forum, but I don't want to really review them individually and I rather not just copy and paste this into both so *shrug*
If you're looking into them, if you can only get one then go for Battleslash as he is definitely a good toy on his own. Roadtrap isn't bad, he's totally an ok toy, but doesn't really feel great as a $10 purchase (I honestly think Legends have gotten way too expensive, they basically cost now what deluxes used to cost). As a set though, $20 doesn't feel awful, but again I think $15 would feel much much better for what you get.
This kinda went from positive to almost negative sounding, and I don't intend that if so. I'm actually really digging Battletrap, glad to have him. Though I do wish there was a combined alt mode too...
My Battleslash came with a Tailgate card.
Finally started applying a bit of paint work to the voyagers and even gave some of them some much needed accessories.

What sword did you give Elita?
Its from a TR voyager Optimus Prime which was originally planned for a Nemesis Prime custom. Until that broke on me.
that's to bad thanks
So it’s been about a month since I found and bought Sludge and Rippersnapper. Both great figures that made me hopeful for the rest of the Wave 2 Deluxes. This past week I’ve been periodically checking my local Walmart, Target, Meijer, even Kroger and Walgreens. At Kroger and Walgreens I found nothing. Kroger POTP pegs are completely empty right now and that’s where I recently found Landmine and Submarauder. Walgreens was still shelf warming Titans Return figures and Cyber Battalion which I have no interest in (not even the Shockwave).
But what has disappointed me the most is that at the big 3 brick and mortars in my area, they all restocked their shelves with Wave 1 POTP. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!? Target is where I found Sludge and Ripper. Hungurr was purchased at a different Target about 30 minutes away. I got Battletrap at Meijer and the last Transformer I bought at Walmart was Wave 1 Leader Rodimus. Just less than 2 months the stores tease with Wave 2 only to go backwards now. I don’t know if it’s a Hasbro distribution problem or the stores inventories are screwy because of faulty numbers (which I know could be a thing. I worked at Walmart for 14 years). I do know that the thing I would appreciate most about POTP at this point is better distribution and stocking practices from Hasbro and the department stores. I know it’s frustrating for a lot of collectors and children to not be able to get what you want. And this uneven availability is getting a little ridiculous. Sorry for the rant, but it just kinda bums me out that this also leads to the threads grinding to a crawl when none of us are able to show our appreciation and excitement for why we like this hobby with new figures. As much as I like to show off my toys, it’s nice to keep it fresh and fun. I love what I have, but the only thing that’s bad about that is it makes me want more of what I can’t have.
Ok enough of that. Sorry again, just needed to vent a little. I appreciate it!!
‘TIL ALL ARE ONE!!!!
