But he was a Beast Era figure, not a G1 brick. He had a ton of articulation packed into him, including five or six sections of the cobra tail.
I did. I knew the Beast Wars fans were going to do everything they could, desperate after getting nothing for the anniversery.
Well now that they've decided on how to say it, Deathsaurus has a cool name, a cool alternate form, and gives them a big bad to use without rehashing Megatron again.

I too wonder about hound. I would have loved it if the trailer made him look like say the Havok from GI Joe. Wish we got more TFs based on Joe vehicles.
Come on random robot reprogrammed by the Robosmasher!

The artist for Blastoff was like, " this is where the legend has the eyes, you'll get no questions from me!"

It's Hot Snarl, Grimtane and Motorkup. We also need "Die Transformers, Die" but from newer molds of course.

Star Saber would have been the PERFECT choice for POTP. They almost could have used the masterpiece toy with a few mods for the matrix cavity somewhere.... He is LITERALLY a small 'bot who powers up with his add-on rocket pack. I am seriously going to be disappointed if they don't make a SS leader toy in POTP...

Side topic: I'm wondering IF the legends-sized dinobot Slash (and repaint Cindersaur) have some sort of combiner-friendly 3rd mode... if they do, hoping it's NOT a 'body armor' in the style of Defensor or Menasor, and something more weapon-like.

2nd side-topic; anyone else finding the whole "Prime Master" gimmic that's supposed to be the main gimmic, to be the LEAST INTERESTING thing going on in POTP? I'm more jazzed about CW 2.0 deluxes and voyagers. I mean, yea, i'll buy all 12 PM figures for all of $60 total they will cost, but unless they are necessary for making combiners, i might not even use the PMs on larger figures other than the shells as target masters. Titan Masters at least gave figures a different head look, but body armor? Really? And on the leaders the PMs are buried INSIDE the figure... I suppose that's fun for role playing, but not so interesting in displaying figures, unless you leave Roddy's chest open...

Is it weird that I wouldn't mind if they make Star Saber a Headmaster too just make up for the Brainmaster?

Technically they can be the same thing, little guy becomes big guy by way of huge power armor. They made Ginrai a headmaster so they can do the same for Star Saber.

Something that is somehow even more garish then G2.

You know, folks were dismissive/uninterested in Titan Masters at first and then really grew to enjoy them. It might be the same with Prime Masters...

What if there is a retool of OpOp that is a Headmaster... and it's Apeface? Instead of a triple-changer - which lost its uniqueness with TR - it could be an ape and a jet that combine into a larger robot. A similar thing could be done with a BW Megatron figure and Snapdragon.

(Edit: I forgot that Hasbro was pushing Deathsaurus in the leader poll. That means there's a least a concept for a figure there. Also has Snapdragon potential.)

I don't know about this dismissive attitude to the Prime Masters.

We're talking about tiny bots that transform into different matrixes (right there...this point right here -I'm all in!) who represent the 13 primes and can attach to the armor of deluxes (Powermasters anyone?) sit inside of legends and be inserted inside the chest of leaders. YESSSSSSS C'mon

    But wait there's more:
The Prime Masters is disguised as Pretender inner robots, that come with extremely collectible Pretender shells which act as power armor ....which turn into supplementary weapons.

One more thing, everyone has a gimmick, this one doesn't get in the way of the transformation...of most figures (ahem Seaspray) or foul up the look of the guns (titanmasters), but is also fresh and new.
Get out of here! This is one Hasbro's greatest ideas.

I agree. I like this gimmick far more than TMs because it doesn't interfere with the main toy. I like the Pretender shells more than those random TM vehicles too. Most of the TM vehicles I skipped but I'll probably buy all the Pretender shells.

Plus I like little things like being able to put the Titan Master for Metalhawk in the Pretender armor.

There was a German magazine back in the day that published the G1 comics and some other stuff, they would make their own covers sometimes by recoloring the US covers.

These are fan made Photoshops of toys in those magazine cover's colors.

I think I'll just wait for full size versions of the characters, with or without a shell. A little Doubleheader would be hard to pass on though.

Just less than a month to go. I just can't wait to see those full pictures. The leaked picture were good though.
