After a moratorium due to tiny tailoring burnout, I recently came around to finishing out the last pair from the Wave 2 crew of Decepticon Pretenders in POTP form in part a way to keep idle hands busy between Hasbro UK delivery delays.
I decided I'd start with my metaphorical frog to be eaten, Finback, who seemed he'd be the more difficult to pull off, turns out Past Chris had done a bit more planning and the arrival of some ordered from HLJ Kotobukiya MSG parts reminded me I'd had half an idea on how-to before the burnout really took hold.
He's carrying the matrix ability of Amalgamous because 1) @Trentulas made the extra plate, and 2) Waverider was already my Autobot Avatar for him. It seemed nice for both the opposites of factions to have a similar aquatic theme (a mirroring already established by my Solus avatars being Octopunch & Splashdown respectively).
Not really having a clue what Finback is actually supposed to be I aimed at sculpting something that looked like one of those weird deep sea creatures (I used milliput with some lego parts, Ninjago fang/daggers, to have decently supported fins) that occasionally wash up but a more "undead" rather than dead version.
The exposed "bone" of one fin was a happy accident while sculpting, like his shell is starting to suffer from the same degrading disease as his inner robot, and had a nice 'zombie fish' creature vibe once painted up.
As fellow board member @MyTea Boc has remarked, he's turned out a bit like the aliens from Pitch Black, so that ain't no bad thing.
I'm actually super chuffed with the resulting monstrosity, and he came together way easier (though not without some difficulty still) than expected.
    A VAST SUCCESS, YE!!!!

I really wanted to catch the whole "corrosive disease" of the G1 Bio on the Inner Primemaster.

Weapon mode: A weird harpoon capture hook/claw-come-blaster appealed, like he's some kind of Lockdown-ish by way of pirate prosthetic weapon hand.

Brilliant stuff. The corrosive detailing reminds me of the Siege battle damage.
