Another quickfire custom, bashed out in a few hours during an incredibly grim heatwave. This guy’s been sat in my garage for eons, and I fished him out today to find him missing one of his drones and overall a bit floppy. Other than that he was in pretty good nick, so I got to work! Wasn’t entirely sure what shade of grey to go with, so I studied a few pictures and ended up using Mechanicus Standard Grey, which I think came out very well. For the rest of him, it was about trying to adapt the original toy colours to the different physical design of this guy. Also decided to go for a fully orange face - the red visor looked a bit off to me. The truck mode ended up being a bit of a mash of colours - partially to serve robot mode better but also to nod to the original toy, which had a bit of blue all over the shop. The light blue on the hood was murder to paint for some reason - but in the end it got mostly covered by the Decepticon symbol! I was going to do the purple from the original toy stickers on the hood too, but I don’t think I have the right shade of purple on me. Artillery-wise, he’s not got much. I did repurpose one of his drones as a comically large shoulder cannon for him, which nods to the original toy whilst looking completely ridiculous. In the meantime, he’s also got his fists, which I’m sure will serve him fine. Until he meets the Wreckers or something. I’m aware the paint on his back has partially scraped off - it was an unavoidable side effect of me forgetting clearances were a thing. Besides that and his shoulders, he’s survived multiple transformations, so that’s nice! Thanks for having a look, hope you enjoyed my attempt at homaging a beloved Triggercon/Scavenger/arsehole.
