You’re definitely not, as I hope this response proves. I was always curious about the RTS version but was put off by the horror stories. I do like that it’s a more distinct take on the character, but it looks like this PotP version is going to wind up being ‘my guy’.
seeing as how we got the Repugnus Titan Master - I'd think they would keep it a Titans Return Style figure (they have already got the head - just pop that straight on). I really hope they won't do a POTP style combiner limb Repugnus that would suck!!! just my
I try to make conversation but sometimes the responses make me question if I have a language problem. I did bust a handlebar of my first one inexplicably (I never break figures), the Takara one was fine. Very fiddly transformation but great representation.
Someone else said "Channel 5" which I kind of like too because of how it nods "space channel 5" and the tv references they make in the movie. You may get your wish. Not sure how or where yet though. Am slightly expecting Punch/Counterpunch to be that car mold though with likely a removable lightbar for those that don't want him as a police car. Or it may be that similar car mold without a light bar and done in dark blue. Depends on how the final gets remolded. But Prowl/streetwise style seems very likely because of how easy it'd be to retool that torso piece to rotate and flip to be two bots in one. If they keep the two bots approach at least. It certainly does seem like they are trying to get G2 defensor out in piece form way. So if counterpunch isn't a police car, we may get a black police car through an Autotrooper or G2 Sideswipe. A Good cop/Bad cop lego movie nod with an autotrooper and counterpunch style rotating head could be interesting.
ultimately i may get this to add to my growing junkion collection but im most looking forward to repugnus (already have blastoff, the club punch/counterpunch and platinum edition wreck-gar plus the kold ko nemesis prime)
That would be me, I thought Channel 5 would be fitting because of the tv references, And traditionally a scramble-city style combiner consists of five members. Now that you mentioned Space Channel 5. It be kinda neat if Nancy talked like a news reporter or giving her a little Ulala homage would be kinda interesting. Heck, it does have a lot of potential for lines/bios too. I mean, you could even pull out a Thunderbirds reference with a name like that. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... (And i'll form the head.) CHANNEL-5 Are Go. That would be an interesting concept, but considering there is BOTH two separate toys, One being Punch, the Other Counterpunch, it makes be wonder if they share the new head or they both have two separate noggins.

All I know for certain in that is that G2 Defensor is getting made this way through the different bots and special releases to go with inferno. wasn't exactly paying full attention then since it wasn't an area I was invested in. I do know the Good Cop/Bad Cop lego movie nod for an autotrooper was a more recent idea addition though from maybe a couple months ago. How quickly the turnover from that to later is anyone's guess. Sometimes it's fast like in the case of BattleTrap, sometimes it's longer. Also depends on where they can fit and if they can, or if it got scrapped. (Keep in mind my knowledge of these things are from years ago, and have a mild haziness to them cause of other things and work at the time too. Plus any late changes are beyond anything I'd know too. Tend to prefer that way anyway, because I prefer pleasant surprises.) IIRC, the torso method I wanted for Punch/Counterpunch was deemed too 'fragile' so opted for the two bot method. If that's the case, then Counterpunch is likely a police car instead of staying more towards like the original, and will use Streetwise. Gives them a chance to explore the concept of before they became the same bot anyway. (If that's the case, then Punch is either the ambulance or the chopper. Or swap those. Like I said, wasn't fully paying attention during G2 stuff. Since I'm more Ark crew/season 3 & 4/JG1 and MTMTE cybertronian mode focused with some randoms from other series outside of those.) Channel 5 is a great name btw! I hope someday they get a chance to use that and find a way to give you props in the Bio to acknowledge your suggestion. Might be a bit before they do a trash truck remold/new mold though for that animated Wreck-Gar nod. But your name suggestion fits that TV head style too. So may not be something they can do until after this next wfc 3 years of releases. Unless they do a space garbage truck. IIRC they did have a Space Channel 5 nod somewhere previously in the side lore too, so that lines up to that. Most of this stuff tends to be moderately planned out years in advance, but sometimes some last minute additions or changes get worked in too. So who knows. Way too many years of this across too many things to keep it all straight. xD Now I kinda want Nancy done from Elita-1. With the combiner head being the tv style of her head like animated Wreckgar. So it's pure "her face on tv for channel 5". But would that be too many uses of the mold? Starscream, Elita-1, Liokaiser, and Nancy. *Shrug* It'd be about as many times as the Onslaught/Hotspot mold has been re-used or Silverbolt if you count both scattershots.
Nova Star, Inferno and Wreck Gar, all soon to be released. That's a lot of red, orange and black. That's almost enough to create a nice and cohesive looking combiner. Who else would match with this, I wonder? Ironhide, perhaps?....And? Hmmmm....
Yep. As difficult as you may find it to believe I did miss all of those somehow. That's good to know, but I still find it strange that Blast-Off was leaked way before Nemesis Prime and Wreck-Gar yet we've gotten official pics of those two and still none for Blast-Off. And just to be clear, I want Blast-Off to come out so I'm not advocating the position that he isn't or shouldn't be coming out. Call me cautiously optimistic.
Looks alright, I'll likely get it. I lament not having the original version of the mold for its police-themed stuff though.
