I grew up in the 80s so stickers were a fact of life, and a welcome tactile experience for me. If Transformers represent puzzle play then stickers only add to that. Feeling like you're part of the process is fun imo.

I’m still holding out hope for a special Legends release or Hun-gurrr and Grimlock, or even a resurrection of the Unite Warriors line.

I also preferred my toys when they had minimal articulation and barely if at all resembled their cartoon counterparts. Man, these modern toys with ball joints, moving legs, paint operations and considerable degrees of show-accuracy are so lame.

I'm not a fan of stickers but that does not mean I hate them.
They are being overused. For example octane. Those stripes are easily done with paint.
Then there is bad placement or even the wrong sticker some had that with prime.
Using stickers for details or emblems is one thing. Doing entire surfaces is another.

Brick with 2 arms a square that resembles a head and about 7 stickers. That sums it up.

I can't disagree with you on plastic quality. Even beast wars had much better plastic than hasbro's current output. That definitely needs to change.

Guys this acceptance of stickers is really bothering me, we should be United against the use of pre applied stickers.

I was considering getting Elita One, but I don't want to contribute to the return of stickers. Reading these people say they're okay with it makes me want to take a stand. I know 3rd party gets it, but I really want to support official Hasbro Takara products. Just don't make it hard for me to do so. Don't get too damn cheap!

Also I've noticed that the movie figures are sticker FREE and that makes me hate their existence more.

People like me are a minority it seems, there’s been an ever-growing amount of backlash against use of stickers since Wave 3 TR Voyagers came out over a year ago.

Prime Wars as a whole seems to be making Hasbro a lot of money and we know they read at least some of these threads to get an idea of what we want. Your point about movie toys lacking stickers is a good observation, perhaps Studio Series is our gateway into Generations getting a higher budget again.

HE was also being sarcastic. I think. Either way, it's funny.

I like stickers as long as they're not falling off in the box.

All he said is that he likes putting on stickers and that it's part of the Transformers experience for him. Did I miss the part where he said he hated ball joints, articulation, and cartoon accuracy?

Who cares? Do you want a good torso or a bad torso?

    Yes. Cheap crap.
    1783-gen-tf-TwinTwist3[1].jpg

Nothing like the superior G1 toys.

You can like the old toys all you want, but the "New Transformers suck" argument will always be silly.

Silverbolt is an excellent torso but the engineering reuse brings down a large part of the experience for me. Plus the alt mode is just gangly and awkward looking which is another hit against the experience for me. So since that’s two big hits against and I’m not wedded to getting the terrorcons it’s an easy pass.
