sure, just give me a few minute.
Edit: here you go.
neat. Grodimus Primal looks good
Finally got this guy today, I will check if he has a problem with the crown, this guy is really huge with the box he has.
Anyone else have a problem with jet mode holding together? Smaller Primal is supposed to lock into the back with alternating tabs in the center as well as tabs on the rear that fit into slots on the gorilla feet. NONE of them hold on mine. Like not even a little bit.
The more I handle this thing the less I like the combined modes. It LOOKS great but it operates like junk. The tabs that do work only barely hold, so in every mode the smaller Prime detaches very easily. Pose him and backpack comes loose. The two Primals just don’t want to play together. On top of that the larger Primal has floppy hip joints that really should be ratchet joints. Ankles are loose, too.
I know the smaller Primal isn’t very popular with people but it’s my favorite part of the set. He has tight joints and stays together. I even love his bricktastic spaceship mode.
Scepter, crown and prime masters are all great too.
I think hasbro already sold out the page is gone from their toy shop but the main page still says \"Check back for updates\"
Well, it's not the tightest click, but you do need to get the angle of the feet and legs correct. Its soft tab in, and definitely provide a connection that should stay, however it won't audibly click.
Keep adjusting those angles until you get it. I believe Emgo shows it off well on his Optimal Op (same mold)
Finally arrived today!
The main problem on mine is the alternating tabs on the midsection. Even hulking them together as hard as I can doesn’t keep them together. While the feet tabs do get a very light hold, it’s not enough to keep the whole thing together. I just watched Peaugh’s review and he was having the same problem.
Fan mode thrown for thrown of the primes optimus primal
The thrown really came threw.
Guys - from what I'm reading it seems that this figure has difficulty staying tabbed etc. Is it really that bad or just a couple of bad QCs? Was the original coloured version like this? I didn't pick up POTP Primal.
mine doesn't have trouble staying tabbed aside from the club. mine only had that shoulder misassembly that's very rare.
Thanks for the reply but what is this shoulder misassembly?! Kinda stunned to read of such an issue!
nothing much. just the inside ratchet thing is on the wrong side. only prevents the shoulder from rotating all the way up for Optimal mode, and literally just a few screws and rotation's worth to fix. there's a fix in the Potp's thread i'll link here once i find it.
edit: here you go, in case anyone needs it. (not my post, btw)
Power of the Primes (PotP) Appreciation Thread
Wow! Thanks! Appreciate the link! Cool and kind of you to do so!
Man. What an ordeal. But HTS is now shipping my order. The order wasn’t completed, my PayPal got charged twice and then ultimately not even fulfilled.
I had to call in and pay again, and I have to get the PayPal’s reversed. So it only cost me like $240 to get him. What a deal!
BUT they are shipping me one. So yay. Hopefully the PayPal reversal will go smoothly.
Update. I didn’t have to call PayPal. Once they completed the real order, the others fell off. Yay!!
Got mine this weekend and have finally run him through his paces. I really like him - both the basic design (still haven't found the retail version) and the little bonuses (well, okay, the cardboard throne is just okay, but the mace, crown and extra prime masters are great). I totally get why they picked the deco they did, but man would he look cooler with a blacker black (like Nemesis Prime or Rodimus Unicronus) and a few gold accents to match the crown and mace. That's a nitpick, though - it's really a solid effort from Hasbro.
I might look into making the matrix light up - he's really the perfect figure for that feature.
I wasn't sure if I'd pick up a DNA Design kit for the SDCC kit as well as the retail kit, but this guy is pretty cool so I hope they make something for it (especially if they do something extra special).
theres some light up matrix cores made by shockwaves lab
