What are you planning to do with the dino head? Will it just hang from the robot butt/combiner elbow?
I am planning something similar to this conversion and what I plan to do is transform one of the feet into the beast head, with the other folded like Swoop's legs against the chest or back.

I've been considering doing a new waist piece with a lower back swing joint connection to the dino neck, but then I wind up with dino head backpack. But I haven't pulled it off yet.

What about a dino head that splits open or can somehow be arranged to look like a legit backpack??

I have updated the tinkercad link with a representation of where the parts all go in robot and dino modes. For the life of me, I cannot get motivated to make a dino head. The tail takes up so much space on the back of the robot that it won't fit well there. I considered putting it on the back of the calves, there is plenty of hollow space there, but I don't like how that would look in robot mode. I would prefer the bot to be symmetrical.

If you wanna take a look at it in 3D, you can go to the tinkercad page and click view in 3D or sign in / sign up to copy.

    3D design Swoop2Slash

Maybe if I articulated the tail a bit more, made it fold in on itself...

Is there a way to change the thread thumbnail image? I've edited and reordered the first post multiple ways but haven't figured that out yet.

maybe you could turn the tail into a small shield or something? looks large enough for that. just my 2 cents.

I kinda think this could also be made into a Dinobot conversion kit with the whole raptor stuff going on. Nice work so far, but I think TinkerCAD's limiting your options software-wise... But that's just what I think.

I'm going to do away with the conversion part of the project and just make this a scratch-build printed Deluxe Slash. Worked on the CW port and the chest today. Printing out a couple of test fit pieces. Goal will be to make it 100% FDM printable without supports on a simple machine, like the Ender 3, with major colors broken out as different pieces.

I now plan to integrate the tail and the head into a rotating piece on the back of the robot chest section. This should give some more room to work. I'll need to redesign the tail/robo-neck setup, but that should be fine.

Got a decent test print of the chest core to test fit at home. Reasonably sure it'll fit just fine. I want to go pure print, no springs or other additions.

That is excellent work. She looks great. I would love to come up with a scratch built TF someday.

Gotta love iterative design. Ok, I'll come back with something substantial next update.

Given how many replacement parts there are , might it not make sense to just add in reworked versions of the forearms, hips and crotch, which seem to be the only bits left from Swoop. certainly the most extensive conversion I've ever seen.
