Hello again, I'm back with my first custom of the new year, that being Rook. Before Combiner Wars, Rook was a Botcon repaint of Windcharger and since I like his color scheme, I decided to made my own. Made from POTP's Windcharger and a Shapeways G1 Windcharger head from The Octavirate Forge, here he is. I did use translucent blue for some of the figure, including the eyes, along with some Reprolabels for the hood and chest. Unfortunately one of the doors broke when removing the old paint on the arm, but I'm ok with it(I fixed it three years later). I love doing obscure and niche characters so why not another.
    Thanks for looking.

So here's a quick 2023 update on this custom. While he was completed in 2020, looking back, there was two things I wanted to improve upon. That being the blue used on the visor and fixing the crack that formed on the left arm.

To solve issue one, all I did was repaint the blue with Testors Sky Blue and decided to touch up the other details on the head as well. After that, matte clear coated the head. One done, one to go.

As for the cracked door arm, I sanded the affected area down and then filled in the cracks with milliput. After curing I sanded the putty down, cleaned the part, and then painted. After paint dried, I once again matte clear coated the piece and with that, Rook's updates are complete!

Even after the three years since I did this custom, it's still one of my favorites I've ever done. Hopefully, whenever we get that updated Generations Windcharger, we can get a Selects Rook alongside Tailgate. Thanks for Reading.

    Nice update.
I want to do a Rook for myself, but I'm waiting to see if Hasbro makes a new Generations mold.
Otherwise, I'm going to eventually use the X-Transbots Boost mold.
