Inspired by fellow board member @barry's pessimism that this aquatic Autobot would make the cut for a slot in the line, an offcut from a 3P Lego sword I'd made Decoy Suit useable (the remaining docked pommel), and that looking at Skullgrin I could see him in there waiting to emerge, I felt bound to prove my theory in practice.

So here he is POTP Longtooth!

    WAIT! We have been DECEIVED!
IT WAS LIEGE MAXIMO ALL ALONG!!!

Now I have to admit to a little boo boo, due to the extra head mass the weapon head can only be deployed to the first soft detent position as if you fully click it into place the suit will pop open but I reckon it's still passably deployed.

And to round out this post a few snaps of the chronological progression from disfigured Skullgrin to Walrus Pal.

No, I don't believe even an extensive paintjob and matrix faceplate replacement would be enough to make Skullgrin/Liege Maximo an Inner Longtooth.
I reckon for a full conversion you'd need a Submarauder/Alchemist Prime and/or a Freezeout from TR Topspin plus a Shapeways Other prime matrix faceplate (though I haven't seen any yet), and I dunno if I'm gonna go that expensively far down the road with it.

I'll give you the ingredients so you can cost it in your location:

    POTP Liege Maximo/Skullgrin
Lego fighting sword - silver (for the pommel to use for the eyepiece)
    Screen Shot 2018-05-07 at 23.32.47.png
    Milliput
    2mm styrene/plastic rod

I used some Constructbot trimmings for the skullcap but they may be a bugger to find now so you might be best subbing some other source that can get you a semi-circular flat plate and an angled bit for the back of the skullcap.

Mr. Hobby Aqueous Hobby Color Acrylics:
    Cement Grey
    Yellow FS13538
    Clear Green
    Metallic Red
    Metallic Blue
(Metallic Blue Green, optional I put a little on the underside of the blades to jazz 'em up a bit)

    This looks great!

I love how much of the existing sculpt compliments the custom sculpting you've put into it.

That metal-flake blue looks super lush against that golden shade of yellow.

Man, I'm tempted to take a swing at making one of those myself. It's not like I don't have a dozen other custom projects to finish...
