ah yes. i forgot, this is the internet: the one place you can never win an argument. fine. you all win. I've got absolutely nothing against swindle as a character, he is my favorite combaticon and one of my favorite decepticons. i do not think voting for swindle because you like him is immature. i think voting for him because you want to take a shot at the TFCC is immature. but that is just my opinion. not saying you all must comply or die, just throwing my thoughts out there.

Seriously, I was strongly opposed to the Erector thing last year, but after viewing that video they made for Erector during the HOF ceremony I wanted to vote for him. Hasbro ran with the Erector thing and made an AWESOME nomination video. We should be able to have fun with this, but it's not going to happen due to joke characters, serious business, etc. etc.

Regardless, I'm not going to get worked up over it. Swindle has my vote due to his IDW representation and his funny connection to certain Fandom situation regarding stolen information. My vote isn't taking a shot at any official company.

 

I vote next year, we nominate THIRD PARTY. I'm kicking it off with munitioner. Then next year, Hercules. Why? Because we can. I also don't see why this HOF thing is such a big deal "it's blaphemis to joke with it with people like Erector or steeeve!"

I really wish they had made a signal lancer figure... or that a 3rd party one would come out. He was such a neat character.

^ I think it's stupid how a character equals all characters, example: Ironhide. I just think it's cheapening it a little bit. It'd be so much more fun to vote for a G1 Megatron, rather than megatron.

I know. I don't like it either. I understand where they're coming from, since the names have an archetype, but not all continuities (looking at Bayverse) pays attention to the archetype.

Does Hasbro actually take our nominations from forums like this one, or are we just spouting who we like?

 

Yes, they use the nominations from several message boards.

We are in the preliminary Nominations stage now. Once a set amount of time passes, the Mods will count the Nominations & set up a poll w/ the 8 or so (at least I think that was the # last year) Nominations that we then Vote on, which gets forwarded to Hasbro, who counts the winners from all the sites that participated & select a final 5 for the final official Poll on their site.
