Finally decided to buy this guy off ebay. Box is damaged but figure is pristine.

 

DNA Design DK-12 MPM Ironhide Upgrade Kit arrived from eBay and Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Ratchet from Entertainment Earth!

The upgrade kit really improves MPM-06 (shoulders lock, arm kibble locks, two sweet ass guns, and a peeing dog)! The figure literally goes from a fiddly mofo/zero to a badass mofo/ten right before your eyes!  

And thought I missed the boat on SG OP and Ratchet, but it was available last week on EE for msrp! They look fantastic in-hand!

 

Kingdom Core Class Soundwave

 

Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Ratchet from Entertainment Earth, WFV Spoiler Pack 3 from Walmart, and Toy Galvatron from Pulse all arrived while I was out of town for Thanksgiving... not a fan of packages being dropped off while I'm gone but they were a nice bit of fun after getting back from a long drive.



Toy Galvatron looks incredible! Its surprising that a primarily grey color scheme can look look good, but he pulls it off. Honestly as an overall color scheme I prefer this over town colors Galvatron, but the all purple still wins me over for being what I grew up seeing. Happy to have them both though! Still debating whether or not to put the stickers on. He looks great as is.



Spoiler Pack Megatron is... well. Megatron. This is my fourth instance of this mold and he's damn near identical to my first instance. I mean other than different battle damage on the chest and some slight differences to the airbrush paint (only due to application not design) I can't see any way he's different from the voyager from WFC Wave 1. But he's not why I bought the pack.



Skelivore on the other hand is a knock out. The translucent purple looks stunning, especially with the silver highlights. I was surprised and happy to see the translucent purple and opaque purple don't clash as much as I'd feared. Being my third instance of the mold I don't have much to say about it other than that it looks great in these colors. The #1 highlight is the head painted with silver to make it look like a knight's helmet. Love it!



SG Optimus and Ratchet continue the trend of great color schemes on molds I already have (second and fourth instances respectively). They look great with Goldbug and Blurr! I'm glad EE had a restock of these guys because I passed them over at release because I saw no reason to get two random AU characters on their own. By the time I decided to commit to the SG line, they were long gone and I'm not invested in SG enough to pay their aftermarket prices. Worked out real well!



Funny how all three of these sets were purple repaints and each included a matrix!

Those side skirts really bothers me, it makes him look wider in the hips and makes his abdomen look not as tall as it should be. I wished they could've intergrated it to his upper thighs/waist swivel or just downsize it and make it immovable...

 

You can pop out the hinged pieces of the side skirt after you remove the screws in the back and pull the upper torso apart.

 

Early run to Target...totally worth it!

 

You coukd even pop it off without doing anything first, but it'll look slightly off from a few angles...

 

I love that this exists.

Damn I spent too much this black friday, Not only did I get a lot of games, but figures as well. I got me Beast Megatron from Walmart, Draculus was in stock at target, Transmutate is on the way from Hasbro pulse and Tigatron will be coming from Amazon very soon!

 

I went screw it and used PayPal’s pay in 4 every two weeks so it wouldn’t hurt my wallet too bad and got both Tentakil and Overbite on eBay. Don’t ask for how much. Just don’t. I just really wanted to complete the Seacons and wasn’t seeing them getting back in stock on Pulse any time soon.

 

It's very unlikely that you will see them at a discount.
