I complained to Amazon and they gave me a full refund!!

 

Stopped by a lesser-used Walmart of mine, and they actually had some of the newer Earthrise stuff. Picked up Earthrise Alicon, Airwave, and a marked-down Netflix Mirage.

I skipped the original release of Mirage, so this guy was new to me. He's... okay. Not mind-blowing, but he does the job. The Decepticon paint job does help give him alittle more visual interest than the standard one.

Airwave is neat. It's impressive they've managed to pack so many modes into such a small package. One of the better ones of these partsformer weapon dudes.

But the standout is Alicon. Like... I shouldn't love him as much as I do. I mean, his transformation almost entirely boils down to "take the panel on his back and put it on his chest". But somehow, it's really fun, and he looks great in both modes. Like, he's so simple, I'm not sure how it took so long for him to actually get a toy. I'd actually consider army-building him if they weren't so hard to find.

Thanks for the clarification! Sigh....alas for Sunstreaker, he is indeed the colour of Mac & Cheese....not the sexiest of colours that's for sure. I understand that Yellow can be tough to get right in plastic, but they do get it right enough times that it makes this extremely bittersweet, because I love the character and this mold. Really hope Hasbro tweeks this some day soon.

On a lighter note...these are my latest two TFs! I'm G1 era, so naturally as soon as I got Trailbreaker in hand I was like:
"Dun-dun...Dun-dun....Danun-Danun-Danun-Danun"
"Trailbreaker!"
"Here Prime!"
"Activate your Force-shield and take a shot at that Fire!"

My wife walks in and was like "Who the hell are you talking to??"

And absolutely.. it's a great figure, I absolutely love it....buuuuut... that screw-up is very odd as.. as per examples I provided, they absolutely can get yellow plastic at the correct colour palette so I don't understand how it happened really.

And yes, out of all figures, he was the one that they should have gotten right. If I ever can pick a second one up super cheap I might try painting all of the plastic to see if it would work out (but it's a fairly complex figure to paint like that... I don't know if anyone that does the dye thing would be able to try to.

 

Picked up a Studio Series 31 Battle damaged Megatron from Ollie's for 14, they had 10 of them.

 

Found a Incinerator Trooper and three VC figs today.

 

Agreed! For my part, I may just opt for painting the chest/roof and forearms the same Mac & Cheese colour, if only to get it matching, lol.

a bit of serendipity for me since i swung by target tonight and found SS overload, but more importantly is that while he is a $50 figure, there must have been an error in the system because when i checked out he rung up for $26. needless to say i was pretty ecstatic at the luck and money saved from this.

also yesterday i went to a little collecting place; got tfp ratchet(i have him but messed mine up attempting additional paint apps) and bw terragator, wo i wanted just because his beast mode is so awesome.

I have ER Astrotrain already with the TFSafari upgrades, but I never seen Siege Astrotrain in the wild... score one for the display factor.

 

Has anyone came out with a fix for the Allicon arms?

 

Was able to nab a few new figs, the most notable being Gigawatt.
