Got my big garbage boy here today, and look, I'm not going to insult us both by pretending he's good. I got him because he was on deep sale and I have a personal affection for these Spark Armor figures that doesn't translate to "and therefore others should like them."

That being said: the inner robot has, like, the low-budget outline of what a really awesome G1 Grimlock transformation would look like. 35 years and we're not there yet, but man, this gets us closer.

Haha! Hey, the fact that we both thought of that just mean the idea makes sense!  

 

I still think Shockwave got into the woodworks somehow... the cannon/gun is undeniably "Shocky".  

Puppies can take different attributes from different fathers in the same litter... who knows how TF hatchlings get their DNA, as we do have combiners after all.  

 

2019 is days away from ending and I did not purchase a single Transformer this year.

It's entirely possible this is the first time since before Armada that this is true.

Feels weird, but it kind of hits home the idea that I think I might finally be satisfied with my collection the way it is, or that I'm waiting for something truly spectacular to pull me back in.

yup, ball joint at the hip, and kneee, no separate swivel. Same with arm. No ankle, head or waist either, but that's expected. Does have wrist rotate though.

The forearms, hands/claws and legs are hollow.. which they really could have put some gap fillers and this figure (as always) would be so much better for it... I really miss the old days that such a figure (29$ CAD, but on sale for about 20$CAN when I got it) would absolutely be "full". Heck, I see dollar store figures that don't have as much gaps as these main lines figures.

Overall, the worst part is that the plastic is the typical hard (cheaper) type that would snap under pressure and due to this plastic, the gun is loose in hand/claw. I'll probably Pledge it.

But after a few days, it's still a fun toy. but glad I got it on sale.
