He's ok. I like him more than I liked any Micromasters, but I still feel like it's a poor substitute for what we were getting in Titans Return and Power of the Primes for the same price point.

 

Very Nice! I didn't know that book had been released already.

 

I got Soundwave and both cassettes packs from local Walmart last Saturday afternoon.

 

How did you get DOTM Prime already?

 

That's the hardcover version which was released in 2014.

thanks. yeah that's kinda what I was thinking when I saw it, because I was not planning on buying this. for one, i dont have much faith in Hasbro ever re-releasing the g1 megatron to go with these 'cons. second, i dont do impulse buying; always been really good about planning purchases & budgeting. but when I saw the tape deck & cassettes and all their magnificent glory, I couldn't help but think how iconic these pieces actually are. i concluded these are a must have regardless. Id be kicking myself in the foot later on if I hadnt.

as for display. I've got a vision of a timeline. with an old 1950's tabletop radio, along with TR Soundwave + all the tapes. im gonna set up as like the evolution of the AM/FM radio.. I'll post a pic once I have it it arranged.

MISB New Years Convoy. Got a screaming good deal. A grail of mine, I had a MIB version back before my last collection purge so this is freaking awesome to have this piece back.

 

That’s my go-to G1 Prime. Best version of the mold imo.

 

Absolutely agreed. It is pretty stunning.

 

Finally got around to getting UW-Superion.  

 

Bought myself an early birthday gift. Design is quite fitting for my 21st.

 

I still think about going back for either that or the Collection Series Prime. I have the 25th Anniversary one, but I'd still like a G1 Prime with proper smokestacks at some point.
