Hey, just askin, have any UT figures been confirmed from Legacy other than Override? I mean it would be cool to see a new and improved version of Armada Blurr or Sideways

 

A presumably Armada Blurr from Pointblank and Armada Starscream from presumably the Rise figure, but we don't know for sure what he's a retool of just that he is one

 

Armada Starscream, Blurr and Sideways are supposedly coming, the latter two as a part of the Veocitron subline.

If this is true, I'm definitely going to pass, I would like my G1 Menasor to be G1, not part this franchise, and part that franchise! This is a big mistake, and I will definitely be hanging on to my Upgraded G1 Combiner Wars Menasor. This just feels like Power Core Combiners all over again. Very disappointing!

 

Prime figures were well articulated, however budgets have gotten smaller and designers have changed since then, so I doubt we'll see the same type of innovation.

Most of the figures are phenomenal already my favorite is WheelJack, it's important to note that there are aspects of the quality of the figure that are no longer in practice anymore, such as pinned Wheels certain types of plastic. I don't understand the want to have a modern version, when a modern version is not going to be as good. Now I think that we are fortunate they every once in awhile drop one of those old molds on us. But I think it is completely unrealistic to think that we're somehow going to get a better version of one of those Prime characters in The Prime style.

 

Wasn't he meant to be one of them, or am I misremembering? Must've gotten something confused from the new Wreckers thread if that's the case given he's in that comic.

 

I actually... quite love the idea of this. I just hope Breakdown won't be merely something like UW Breakdown.
It would be funny if they all combined into Cybertron Menasor.

But as you can see here, not a lot of people here are happy with this. G1 fans are unhappy because they don’t get the character they want for their combiner, and Prime fans are unhappy because he might end up not looking like the big musclehead they saw in the show(and also bc Bulkhead is a Voyager while Breakdown is a Deluxe). I’m okay with new ideas, but Beast Wars fans just had a line where most, if not, ALL of their characters AT LEAST looked like they just hopped out of the show with modern articulation, and going for a price that hopefully won’t leave them bankrupt.

I’m over the fact Prime Breakdown is going to get G1ified, and hoping that G1 Breakdown will get a release of his own that might reference RoTF or something. I’m just hoping right now nothing like that happens to Armada Starscream. Or at the very least, I hope he looks cool.

 

I like Legacy Arcee and Bulkhead fine enough as they are, but it's just disappointing when Prime gets accurate R.E.D. figures and then is suddenly shafted when it's time to get transforming ones. I totally understand why Prime fans are frustrated by this, even though I'll be picking up Bulkhead and probably Knockout as well.

I also think this whole "matching aesthetic" thing is overplayed. Many people already collect WFC in addition to (non 86)Studio Series, or own stuff from past toylines, or collect 3rd Party stuff that looks nothing like what Hasbro's currently doing. We can handle some toys not looking like the others.

 

can we get a bruticus with ol brick head bay brawl, animated swindle, g1 onslaught and wfc blast off?

I’m really sure they will deliver the same if given the chance to. The thing is they’re overpriced now and somewhat hard to get, especially the Prime characters with FE releases. Cliffjumper, Bulkhead, and Optimus imo were fucking perfect, but they’re going for insanely high prices so it would be nice if they were able to rerelease them, or just make new toys.

I wouldn't be doctrinaire about it. The chances that Hasbro or Takara eventually puts out a retool of one of the other Stunticons as "Racecar Breakdown" is good. It's exactly what happened in Combiner Wars.
