Fingers crossed for a Twincast repaint!

Throwing my hat into the ring for
HIGHLY being Twincast (or at a push, Soundblaster) being the repaint for Wave 4, shockingly enough.

My reasoning being, correct me if I’m wrong but we never see a repaint from one Wave in the very next one?

That rules out Armada Starscream or BW Inferno… I actually think we’ll see Armada Thundercracker in Wave 1 of whatever 2023’s Transformers Line is (like how Grapple was in ER & G1 Inferno in Kingdom), with both Armada Ramjet & Antagony next year, either both in box sets / retail exclusive lines or in Selects.

We now know Bulkhead is getting his retool in the exclusive Wreckers subline (I’m going for Pyro personally), which leaves Soundwave, Twincast & Jhiaxus.

The orange Jhiaxus is pretty maligned, and I think he’s a retool of someone already anyway, which just leaves Soundwave & Blaster.

Wave 4 of Legacy will be the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023, and the results of Star Saber’s poll would now be in showing there’s desire for Japanese G1 in the main line. He’d go well thematically with Star Saber, even if not from the same Japanese G1 line.

He’s also the only early Voyager we don’t have a repaint for yet, we have a Soundblaster already (even if from the Siege mold) and ALL Voyagers are Decepticons other than Blaster / Bulkhead, so it’d help add another heroic character to balance out the 4 subsequent Decepticons/Predacons.

I still think we’ll get an ER Soundblaster, just he may be an exclusive in 2023 sometime.

It could be Kingdom Waspinator as Buzzsaw, but we know he’s already getting a repaint as Paralyser / BugBite II & I feel he’s more likely as a Selects / exclusive repaint (especially with all the other bad guys in the line already)

 

Ugh... Buzzsaw was the ONE deco I really wanted out of the T30 deluxe that never happened, and I get it because it requires (ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES) a new headsculpt. And there's no purple on the Waruder, so no, it's not "horseshoes."

My kid got the Kingdom Waspy, and after handling it I changed my mind: I would NOT buy a Buzzsaw deco of it.

...unless it was part of a multi-pack with other "needed" figures. 

 

Yeah I couldn't care less about another Orion Pax. The best one in my opinion was T30 anyways. We probably will get the seeker trio from the new Starscream mold, but I'd honestly prefer Sunstorm, Bitstream, or Slipstream from the Earthrise mold. We are SO close to having a complete set of G1 seekers.

 

I'm hoping Twincast because I need a WFC scale Rewind. However, if I had to put my last $20 on the line, I'm putting my money on Armada Thundercracker. Not because I want to, but Hasbro loves their seeker analogues. Twincast and Soundblaster just sing Gen Selects to me and all the other options are already being retooled.
There was also a rumor floating around of an Optimus retool of Bulkhead over the last year. If it is true, maybe this is where it comes into play, though I'm more inclined to think that, given the similarities IDW Pyro has with both figures, that maybe he's the rumored figure and in the exclusive line. Miscommunications and plan changes happen.

 

I hope next year's SDCC set leaks ahead of time like the Ravage one did so I have plenty of time to see how Alpha Trion looks and decide if I want to get it or not.

I know it's a bit more out of left field than the main suggestions but I'd really love it if it's Jetstorm or G1 Jetfire remolded from Armada Starscream. Or Slipstream from ER Starscream.

I'm in for both Orion Pax and Alpha Trion.

I wish they'd reveal Jhiaxus...really want to know if it's a G2 or T30 version. (If it's an orange T30 version, I'll be disappointed...) Probably Toy Fair I'd guess.

Leakers confirmed it's G2's version of Jhiaxus. They specifically mentioned his ankle wings. Comic colors and all.

This makes more sense for Armada Starscream than Thundercracker. They have kinda moved away from straight repaints at general retail, tending to put them more as exclusives or Selects. I could also see the Optimus from Bulkhead being for an exclusive of some sort, especially if he is going to come within a year of Laser Optimus. They are making exclusive versions of Bumblebee for Walmart and Target now, so why not make an exclusive Optimus...

I thought the Optimus repaint of Bulkhead was coming in Shine? Or was that a disproven rumor?
