I'm not "in the know" by any means, but I can't see them being affected. They're connected to very popular and desirable Voyagers so they will get issued somehow. Honestly, I don't even know where they stand with Micromasters, I only read what the folks here write and it sounded like they underperformed. I really dig 'em though.

 

those were just straight up reissues, these are new figures. and by that argument it would also be too soon for new combiners as those were only done 5 years ago

 

- The unknown and important voyager is Breakaway.
- DOTM Warpath if he happens likely would be leader class (entirely dependent on Breakaway)
- MPM Blackout has been greenlit and will include Scorponok. The earliest we see him is 2023 but it is much more likely to be 2024.

If Voyager Breakaway could lead to Leader Warpath, could Leader Warpath lead to Commander Devon?

 

The implication seems to be that Breakaway, as a video game character, would inspire the creation of more video game characters if his figure is successful. IIRC, I don’t think Devcon was in the DOTM game, so I don’t think this would affect him.

Breakaway was never my favorite look (I always preferred Thrust's head) but who knows maybe this will change my mind.

I think that they should just reissue the old micromaster teams. The new ones weren't a major improvement over the old ones.

@wreckgar39 @Apollux a bit off topic, but do you guys know if we can ever hope to see more G1 reissues besides another Hot Rod, Optimus, Seeker, etc. I would like some more of the figures I missed from the Encore and Commemorative lines.

 

If Mark's really as crazy as he's said to be, we would not only get an Armada Megatron, but he'll have a planned retool as Transtech Megatron.

 

I don't think that we'll ever get a line dedicated to the TF offspring of the cenobites.

 

True, but the success of more obscure movie characters could give Hasbro enough confidence to try Devcon. Just a thought, though.
