I honestly don't expect Blaster to be a part of Kingdom. We would have seen some listing or an image, or SOMETHING by now.

 

It wouldn't have to be that similar, just using a similar design language for taking a real-life aircraft carrier and turning it into a spaceship. It's already got vague similarities with Tidal Wave's actual battleship mode.

 

Yeah I think Blaster was intended to be a Kingdom w5 voyager, but they probably canceled the wave due to the recent shipping issues. If he had gone through production by now, we'd have seen a leak!

 

My guess is that they wanted to do another wave but unlike the extra wave for siege it seems the only figure they could do is blaster which made it hard to justify

I posted this in the wishlist thread, but I fully believe they could get a solid and decent repaint/remold out of each commander class torso - though I know current speculation is MotorMaster at Commander and everybody else down to Leader, but the idea still stands.

Motormaster is more than likely going to have some level of faux parts for some aspects of the design, specifically in my mind the cab feet - remold them, the chest, and the head, put that in the right colour scheme - Thunderclash

Silverbolt might require a bit more extensive of a retooling, especially for jet mode parts, but there's an obvious Skyquake in it for me - even more so if the tooling puts the mold closer to a Scattershot

Onslaught and Hotspot might share some tooling anyway, as their G1 figures did, but each could be redone as Clench and Pyro

I feel it'd also work out well as options for doing updates to their teams. I'm not the buggest fan of forced combination, but I really think the Turbomasters and Predators will never get proper redos unless they're done as repaints, and the Aerialbot and Stunticon Molds would sort of work.

Anyway that's the idea I've had floating for a while

Yeah, likely only G2 redecos, the Combatrons from the Combaticons, and the Victorion and Megatronia girls from the Stunticons and Protectobots. That's still plenty of reuse potential, only the Aerialbots don't have a reuse outside of G2, at least as far as I know.

 

Battle Gaia and Guard City are my biggest wants. They were unfortunately left behind in CW..

Alright, didn't know about those guys till now, that adds yet another reuse for the Combaticons, and a full reuse of the whole Protectobot team (rather than reuse of two members for the gal combiners, or three if they size up Dust-Up to deluxe for Victorion).

Though I'll be honest, Guard city is a bit boring and feels just a bit too similar to Defensor for me. Still, would be a neat set of figures to get.

Still no other reuses for the Aerialbots, which is weird, you'd think the most popular Autobot combiner would have been redecoed more. There's also no other full reuse of the Stunticons outside G2 to my knowledge currently, other than reusing two of them as the gals like mentioned.

 

Anyone think Hasbro will make Nexus Prime out of the updated Combiners? I'm guessing from Air Raid, Blades, Onslaught, Brawl, and Fireflight if so.

 

Okay I'll admit in my head they looked way more similar. I knew CW shared designs, and I can definitely see some aspects of a shared transformation skeleton.

I'm just dreaming for a better way to get the late G1 team leaders than hunting down BotCon figures

like seriously aside from combiners they could probably finish 84-86 off in the next trilogy and we could finally make generations about all the generations

If they make a new Victorion from the parts of Menasor and the potential Defensor, what happens to Rust Dust? Do they just not include her (since the new Groove would be a limb and not a chest piece), or does one of the copter twins get the axe in favor of a more alt-mode diverse combiner?
