Yeah, that’s the issue isn’t it? Getting hype for something even though there’s a chance of disappointment. There’s only a few things that I’m 100% hype for (Cosmos, Black Convoy, Skids, Armada Starscream) but the rest I’m just pleasantly waiting to know more about. Definitely don’t want to get too excited and then be disappointed at reveals.

I could see a redecco working, but unsure if Hasbro would bother? Weren't he and Alpha Bravo only created just to recoup tooling costs?

I can't rule out from the drawings I've seen, but I would be surprised if the new Crankcase was combiner compatible.

It would be a lot of work and additional cost to include in his engineering, and I still haven't seen clear images of how the new combiner gimmick functions. So unsure if it's the same as CW or new and unique to Menasor/Stunticons.

My only real wonder with sludge is if they'd try to put some articulation in the dino neck with that budget.

 

Hard to tell from the images I've seen.
I'd say he looks to have some basic kneck articulation, but mostly in service of his transformation.

So head can tilt up and down, jaw can open/close (and support a blast effect), and his kneck can swivel up and down from the base where it connects to his chest.

Anything else would be a nice bonus.

Honestly I'd rather have Ruckus have his own dedicated mould, which would mean a CHUG deluxe dune/baja buggy - I kinda want to see more variety in vehicle modes going on with and after Legacy.

I can however see offroad and/or Ironfist done from Crankcase - it'd be cool especially if the flip-out weapons were on 5mm ports/pegs so you could attach any type of weapon onto him.

 

Count me in with all the people hoping for a new Offroad. Only stunticon I am interested in. I know it’s slim (which it shouldn’t be) but it would be an absolute dream come true!

 

Oh yeah, I'd definitely prefer a new mold Ruckus (and Offroad and Ironfist) as opposed to a retool. I just mean it's a possibility from Hasbro, seeing as they've made multiple team members from one mold before. If they do do it, hopefully it'd be more like the Decepticon Targetmasters in extensiveness.

Damn, sounds like I'll probably be sticking with my under-articulated TR Legends KO. For all its flaws, I love the jet mode, and any Blitzwing I'd replace it with has to have one that's at least as good.

Me too. That's probably the only way they'd ever make a Jetfire that I'd want, since they obviously can't make one that's based 100% on the Macross toy. I've been really hoping they'll revisit either the Classics or T30 design again at some point with modern engineering.

 

Does anybody recall the timeline of Masterpiece Optimus Primal's from teases to full-on reveal? Because Transformers Armada's 20th anniversary should be next year and I'm wondering if we can use that timeline to give ourselves a rough idea of when we can expect a Masterpiece Armada Optimus to get revealed. (You know, since that Armada Prime they teased back in 2019 has allegedly been canned.)

 

I thought it was more of in development hell than outright cancelled.

Earliest news of MP Primal that I could find was from the Tokyo Toy Show in June 2015, renders of the actual figure showed up in December, and prototypes weren't revealed until January. It released in October 2016.

 

I was hoping that we would see something about it in this month's Figure King, but that hope is falling apart faster than Thanos did at the end of Avengers: Endgame...  

 

Takara was totally gonna reveal him until the toy show got cancelled. Yeah, thats it.

 

That Armada Prime prototype's confirmed dead in the water? Damn. Maybe we could see something like it as a Commander after Motormaster though?

Here's a random thought I had. There's a dragon Megatron coming, and so far 2 of the 4 Cybertron Planet Key holders have been confirmed, 1 being a remold/repaint of 86 Hot Rod supposedly and 1 the year's Titan, which is a pretty big thing for the line. Could we see a Scourge from this Megatron later?



Funny enough, wouldn't be the first time this character was repurposed into something Transmetal 2 Megatron related, lol. He was also later given Cryotek colors.
