I like CW Bruticus (I'm even okay with the plane Blast Off), but I'd take one, particularly a more toy-oriented one.

Or they can reissue the old toy, I'd take that too.

now Cyclonus may have been a tad lacking in depth compared to well, every other decepticon in Armada, but man if his toy wouldnt make for a fantastic Voyager. Just make that rotor a bit quieter.

 

I could see the benefits of a new Chromedome (And the other TR Headmasters), but I personally don't think it's explicitly necessary, especially with Retro existing. I'd personally prefer they move onto other late G1/JG1/Euro G1 characters, or even better, characters from other continuities.

 

Yeah, they’re getting close to my dream line… when a deluxe wave consists of aesthetically matching toys (I.e. G1ified) of Armada Demolishor, Animated Prowl, G2 Windbreaker, and RID15 Clampdown.

 

This. Totally agree. Speaking as a G1 fan, we have redone some G1 characters in PWT/WFC multiple times while others have never been updated since G1. In addition, there are like 11 other continuities pleading like Oliver Twist for just a little representation. We might need to accept that we should wait a few years before we go back and redo most of these guys IMO. Let's get into some "new" figures for the next year or two.

Armada Cyclonus

 

Honestly, for me, the best case scenario with a repaint of Cyclonus as his "Armada" would be like this concept art stage where he had a bunch of pink in place of a good amount of his silver:
It's the only reason I'd consider getting him. Making him darker and having some toy sticker details wouldn't be interesting enough. I'd rather they do Ferak, that's a gorgeous color scheme that looks great on Cyclonus' design.

My gut it telling me that the Titan UT Metroplex is going to feel a lot like its just an upscale of the original toy. At the same time I also think he'll be the smallest of the non combiner titans so far due to Sparkdrinker (his giant buzzsaw axe shovel) that thing is as taller than the actual figure.

Anyway the original is already a really good figure as is, so I cant really see how they would improve it aside from making it big, and maybe ankle tilt.

 

I imagine an alt-mode that actually looks like something.

 

I have UW Cyclonus and I’m leaning more on Headmaster colors

 

I don’t like how K. Cyclonus looks in either mode, and the lavender just kills it for me, but I’d probably buy him in toy dark purple.
